We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Riad Louaya. The location is excellent, everything is easy to reach, and the riad is also very close to the main road, which is a huge plus because you don’t have to drag your luggage through the narrow streets of the Medina.
The breakfast was lovely, the Wi-Fi worked perfectly throughout our stay, and the whole riad has such a warm and relaxing atmosphere. We especially loved the rooftop terrace. After a long and busy day exploring Marrakech, sitting on the sofas up there in the evening was the perfect way to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and hospitable, and they really made us feel at home. In fact, we enjoyed our stay so much that we are coming back to Riad Louaya for our final night in Morocco in a couple of days, and we are genuinely looking forward to being there again! Our only regret is that our flight leaves very early the next morning, so unfortunately we won’t get to enjoy their excellent breakfast one more time.
Everything was very clean and comfortable. The only tiny thing that could be improved is the bathroom, which feels a little outdated. It wasn’t really an issue at all, but adding a small glass panel or shower curtain would help prevent the bathroom floor from getting wet when showering.
Overall, an easy 10/10 from us. A beautiful, peaceful and welcoming place to stay in the middle of Marrakech, and somewhere we’re very happy to return to.

The room was clean.
The Riad is very well located for everything in central Marrakech.
The staff are very friendly. The two central courtyards are very pretty.
The pool was well used by the guests for cooling off.
There was nowhere to put clothes in the room (e.g. wardrobe, drawers)
The breakfast was 4 different types of bread, with jam. Some more variety would've been nice.
The room description included a microwave and a few other items that weren't there.
The coffee machine in the room had no pods provided and no milk. They gave us pods on request.
The property next door is undergoing renovations so there was a lot of hammering during the days.

Riad Louaya is well located with walking distance to the medina and several nice restaurants in the neighbourhood. The riad is nice and quiet at night and the staff is friendly.
There are hundreds of riads in Marrakech. We chose this one because the description on booking.com said it would have a washing machine in the room (something we needed after a week of trekking), which turned out not to be true, it costed extra to send it to be washed elsewhere. The description of the breakfast from previous travelers (fresh fruit etc.) was also different during our stay. The staff makes it very clear that they prefer cash payment, something we did not appreciate, especially not when the Booking.com app started sending messages saying that there was a problem with my VISA (something that is not true but probably linked to the riad rejecting my card) and my booking was cancelled.. So in the end we paid in cash which I guess might mean that genius-points are lost? We also had some small hick-ups and misunderstandings with the staff which could have been resolved if they had reached out to me via the chat function in Booking.com. I guess that only the manager knows how to manage the Booking.com conversations. All in all, this riad is certainly not bad and I’m sure the staff is trying their best, so my feedback is intended as constructive criticism for things that can be improved (they could edit the descriptions of the room on Booking.com to make sure that they are 100% correct, encourage card-payments and make sure that all staff know how to communicate with guests via the Booking.com-platform).
