Very quiet place and location which suited us - we saw only couples and families with grown-up children: this is not for young kids. Staff were great, especially Mustafa and Younes - all in all, service was attentive given the size of the property. Rooms were comfortable although AC a little noisy and beds quite hard - neither really bothered us. Limited breakfast choice but very nicely done. We only had one other meal there but it was very good: again, a small menu but to be expected from a place with only 10 rooms - it was relatively busy at the villa on the night we stayed for dinner but bear in mind that you may end up dining alone if no one else chooses to. Room could do with a deeper clean at some point but generally fine. Some of the facilities are showing signs of age, such as pool beds and towels but we are told that the new owner has plans for upgrading these. Hotel has a contract with tourist taxi firm - this is convenient and provides much better quality vehicles than the local cabs but be prepared to pay the required premium: round trip to the city (15 minutes away) is 300 dirhams so 2-3 times what you’d be quoted by Uber.

A couple more drinks options would be nice - but we appreciate this is a Muslim country.

Beautiful buildings, amazing pool and lush spacious gardens. It’s a very lovely place.
Some staff were very helpful and accommodating, others not so much. Especially considering it’s a 5* hotel, we would have expected more.
