Room needed a little heating.

We only stayed 1 night, it was very convenient to where our friends were located in Belper. There was a lovely welcome pack and 2 dog bowls for our working cocker spaniel Cocoa which was a really nice touch. Some dog friendly places we’ve stayed at don’t have any treats or bowls. Very comfortable beds.

The dog friendly rooms were away from the main building situated around a covered courtyard which was a bit dark.

The house itself was impressive although no one around other than the barman who tried to be helpful. . Comfortable beds, good powerful showers and good location. Nice welcome pack for the dog however does not really justify £15 charge a night which is not advertised prior to booking.

Very noisy room in courtyard - no door closers on access to other rooms next door to our door. Walls very thin - can hear neighbours taking showers, mobile phone vibrating etc Even the cleaners were stood outside our window talking at 815am. Very dirty window frame in bathroom obviously doesn't get cleaned. Unable to access grounds due to fencing and rubbish laid around - quite neglected. Dogs not allowed in various parts of the house meaning not much point in trying to eat meals there.
