Lovely old hotel in the centre of a beautiful village
Lovely old pub/hotel in the middle of Lenham village. Nice spacious, comfortable room which was quiet despite being in the old part of the hotel. The staff were lovely, there was ample parking (free) and the food was very good. Handy for the M20. Good value for money.
Beds were a little soft for our preference. No lift, but there wouldn't be in a building of this age.

Lekker ontspannen voor een paar dagen.
Mooi kamer en goed eten.
De ramen zijn van hout. Dit hout is aan het wegrotten. Dit is niet zo fraai om te zien.

Disappointing for £89 a night
The evening meal was lovely and the room was comfortable. The staff were trying to do their best but clearly under pressure.
On arrival there was a wait to check in as the receptionist was busy doing something in the back office. The room I was given smelled of smoke so I asked for a different room. The second room was better but had lots of dust on surfaces. Breakfast was not the best. The staff member was quite apparently feeling ill. I asked for 2 boiled eggs and was promptly told that there were only fried, poached or scrambled! She then rushed out looking like she was about to faint. The alternative was sliced bread, croissants but no butter only margarine. A man then said they could do boiled eggs. After 15 minutes and no eggs I left.

Centrally located hotel with delicious breakfast and friendly staff
Staff was very friendly, especially the ladies at the checkin and at breakfast service. Breakfast was delicious, especially the fresh orange juice and the range of healthy alternatives to English breakfast like porridge for example.
The cleanliness in the room could be improved. The glass on the desk had lip prints from a former guest, the courtesy products (hand and body milk) were already opened and used.

Nice village but disappointing stay.
We liked two of the staff in particular who were very helpful, cheerful and attentive. Tasha and Agnatha (from Poland) thank you. The bed was comfortable, great towels, plenty of toiletries and teabags etc. A very good breakfast with great service and a wide choice. Location in Kent great for exploring the county on our driving holiday. Quite a few restaurants to eat in on the village square, with Indian and Chinese close by. A pleasant evening meal the beef pie, and the fish pie very tasty
The room was dark and smelt damp. The shower cubicle appeared to be very old, and the track was dirty. There is a warning that the water is very hot, but in room 23 the water pressure is really weak and it takes a lot of adjustments to have a shower at a reasonable temperature. Also the shower tray is mounted really high and if you are older or unsteady on your feet getting out of it onto the floor you really have to be careful. The extractor fan is useless and doesn’t always function and the tv controller is missing and has been for some time, also there is no ITV channel. The door to the bedroom complex we were in was rotting and the courtyard outside was dirty and dismal. I am sorry but for £100 a night things could be a lot better to give a more pleasant guest experience. Also felt your evening meal charges were a little expensive. As we understand it there’s not much money in beer, but plenty to be made in food and accommodation, and I think more focus should be on that.
