Lovely location and building. Communal areas very good.
Dated room. Clunky furniture. We didn’t know we would be in a room with a locked adjoining door and could hear our neighbours through the wall. The bath was cracked and dirty. The door was old and decaying to the bathroom. Bathroom overall felt unclean. The hinge at the top was rusted and green. Big room but the bedside cabinets were miles away from the bed. The room had a smell of sweat and overall we were ok with what we got for the night but felt glad we only had to be in there to sleep. I wouldn’t have wanted to stay any longer. It’s a shame because the venue is beautiful and alluring from the outside and has lots of potential just needs updating and cleaned deeply. I only write this review with the hope that these facilities will improve as it’s a great location for me to come home to visit family but would expect a higher standard for the price.
