Its an old hotel, with a good refurbidhne

The breakfast was good, nice restaurant with river views . Very noisy on arrival on the Saturday, a very busy place.

My room was not ready on arrival at 3pm on the Saturday, had to wait an hour. No apology, not even a coffee offered while i had to wait! Just poor customer service.

A great mini break with friends.

Location, decor, staff, spar

We went to the bar Sunday evening for a quiet cocktail. The bar staff were polite but it felt like we were an intrusion.

We didn’t stay, it was that bad!

On arrival the room appeared ok but very small for the very high price.

The hotel is overpriced. We were booked into a room directly opposite a party suite and the volume was so loud we chose to leave losing half our money rather than stay. We emailed the hotel to discuss the issue with the manager but have not received the courtesy of a response. Given that the primary purpose of a hotel is to sleep this hotel fails.

It’s a hotel in Bedford, was probably expecting too much

The downstairs bar was pretty cool, but the toilets were about half a mile treck I was considering an Uber

The thermal spa is an extra twenty quid, for the amount I paid for a junior suite for a night it should be included

Nice and clean place, staff very helpful

Very clean, nice room and bathroom. The bed also very comfortable

No possibility to use hairdryer and charger. Usually when I go to hotels in Britain they have the converters available

Disappointing stay and not worth the money. Clearly some rooms have been renovated to a high standard but not all so hit

Location was good and the bar and restaurant were nicely decorated

The room was really tired looking and very expensive for what it was. I had stayed in Jan (floor 3) and it was really beautifully decorated and kept so booked again for my anniversary (and upgraded room) but it was nowhere near as nice and definitely not worth extra money. We also went to dinner there and the steak was inedible. It was so fatty I could barely cut through it and the macaroni cheese tasted like hot milk and nothing else

The location was great the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a good menu. The decor is lovely.

The only complaint and it's not a bad thing was the room was so warm and you couldn't open a window and there was no thermostat.

Overall a good stay.

check in was fast. room was nice location is very good.

TV service/ channels selection is horrible. WIFI is sketchy in certain rooms. had to do a business trip with no WIFI.

Paying for parking. Breakfasts- constant items running out and not replenished., Coffee and Tea selection very poor. Would expect Latte/etc as standard. No specialist tea availalble (earl grey/ mint etc). Fruit salad very poor. Generally choices limited.

a little disappointing this time

I’ve always stayed at the swan when visiting friends and family and have always found it exceptional

this is my first time being put in a room on floor 1 … and will not be staying on that floor ever again in future - the noise levels were insane doors slamming and people running up corridors etc up to 4am and then woken at 7am by cleaners in room above and in corridor - and a 10am knock on door for housekeeping and I had not checked out !! I will be insisting a floor 3 stay in future

tiny room and not cleaned properly, breakfast was very limited as run out of food by 9.30 very disappointed mattress very hard and uncomfortable spa facilities are lovely, couldn’t fault them!

Hotel is superb and couldn’t have been better situated for my work.

Good location. Staff were really helpful and polite. Good breakfast. Comfortable room.

Wish we had a view overlooking the river and not the car park but room was quiet.

felt a bit disjointed. the spa, restaurant and hotel are all one but didn’t feel that way. for example you can’t leave the spa in your robe to go back to your room?

everything it’s our fav place to get away for a couple of nights, great rooms normally stay in the suite great room service and breakfast. receptionist very helpful and so close to lots of lovely restaurants

some of the staff younger ones unfortunately let it down during some services but overall would stop me coming

A pleasant stay. We would consider staying there again.

Excellent location near the river and short walk to the town. Comfortable surroundings and helpful staff.

The restaurant closed early on the Sunday so we had to go out to eat.

Disappointing but worth another try!

great location and lovely decor

Our bed and bedroom was smaller than anticipated with towels for one rather than 2 of us for a 2 night stay. Unfortunately the heater in the bathroom didn’t work so it was literally freezing in the loo! The room was situated at the very end of a corridor and it was so dark you couldn’t see the door handle without use of the torch on my phone.

breakfast was a bit hit and miss had to ask for everything tea, butter, jars etc. maybe as I went to breakfast at10.15 fifteen mins before the end but not really an excuse

Lovely hotel, friendly staff , nice spa, couldn’t get anyone to answer the phone to order room service as they had a wedding on, it was nice to see it buzzing but our stay was poor as we couldn’t get room service
