Burley Manor

Location fabulous-so peaceful… Breakfast very nice…

Two days running my bacon turned up nearly cold… Also the staff behind the reception desk need to smile more! Out of four people, only one of them greeted us with a smile! It’s the little things that one remembers!

The receptionist was amazing. She made us feel very welcome. A beautiful old building. We had tea outside on the patio looking at the green. A fantastic stay

We loved the manor-house vibe, with its carved wooden panels and beautiful fireplaces. The grounds were charming, offering great views across the park. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food, though we didn’t dine there often, was very good.

Unfortunately, we noticed the upper, fixed part of the window was dirty, with spider webs and dead flies on it, even though the rest of the room was spotless. They weren’t visible from below, but when I went to remove the webs—since my wife has a spider phobia—I discovered them. The hotel handled it well, apologising and offering us compensation. Despite this, I’d still recommend the hotel, as we went on to enjoy a truly lovely holiday.

Parking was just outside the room as been told, the room as very big and spacious

WE have booked for a garden view but instead we had overgrown hedges, and the wooden patio and stairs were all rotten and dangerous to use, room service was not completed on some days and had to chase the housekeepers after 17.00
