Liked the location, the outdoor facade, food was good.
Room could do with an update, tatty net curtains, old handles on side of bath needed replacing. Lights flickered a lot but think the electrics are currently being replaced.

Excellent location, lovely peaceful garden, and quirky but nice rooms. The location is is nice and relaxing. Once ytou enter the grounds and move up the long gravel driveway, you feel miles from anywhere, but you're not. We even saw a baby deer on the croquet lawn as we drove in!
Service was excellent…when you could get it. It is diabolically slow. 30 minutes to order a cup of tea. Over one hour to get breakfast. Allow yourself plenty of time, and don’t go if you are at all impatient.

A beautiful Georgian Manor House in a lovely parkland setting.
The lady on check in was lovely. I had forgotten my toothbrush and toothpaste and she kindly provided some.
The room was a little tired in decor and furnishing.
Bed & pillows uncomfortable and water pressure in shower was disappointing.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating, a credit to the hotel.
It looked tired, our room was dusty and the carpet was loose in places. I didn't think it was worth the £176 bill, I regretted upgrading as it was definitely not good value for money. The bar menu was restricted and the main menu didn't have much choice and was expensive.
