Food was good, hotel was warm, clean and comfortable,. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Waiting time for food. Also not many staff on duty so had to wait at the reception, bar and restaurant.

Lovely old building which has been added onto over the years. Lots of free onsite parking. Our bedroom was large and the king bed comfortable. The shower was over the bath, with good water pressure. There was a heated towel rail and central heating in the bedroom. The choices for breakfast were excellent and we dined in twice during our stay and were not disappointed. The staff were very nice and welcoming.
The decor was tired in some of the public spaces and could benefit from painting. Some of the carpets were faded where they receive direct sunlight.

I had an executive double, which had two nice chairs and a table. Very spacious with a good modern tv. I had Otter ale to drink in the late afternoon, which I loved. The bar area is also popular with locals. The "chef recommends" section of the menu always has some particularly nice choices. Where the AA rosette for dining is mainly earned I think. Breakfast is always good. Not a pub chain style hotel at all.
They always have a nice fish choice. There are still more traditional pub style choices available. All very good quality.
