Everything was stunning! The garden room food was stunning! The staff was so helpful
The only thing we feel we need to say is that we had a leak in our bedroom so we were moved to another room, which we were told would be exactly the same but it wasn’t. The new room was a lot smaller without the roll top bath and walk in shower. When we discussed this with reception, the manager didn’t speak to us directly and told the reception member of staff that this was the only room available and we couldn’t go back to the original room due to health and safety.
The next day we were informed that our original room was an upgrade, but we didn’t know this and we now feel that we were essentially downgraded to a standard room for something that wasn’t our fault.
However, we are otherwise very happy with the stay. Not only was it my partners birthday, but we also got engaged while we were there so this was why we felt some of the shine was taken from that moment .

Quite beautiful and very tranquil
Nosey conference people and not controlled by hotel staff conference is a good income but don’t forget the paying customers

Pretty hotel. Its in a nice location and the staff were freindly. If you wanted somewhere quiet and that provides an old wooden english feel this will hit the mark.
If your paying the money for a first rate hotel, you should get a first rate experience. You cant get food after 9pm, there nothing in the room except water. Sure its pretty, and you get that old English feel. But avoid this place if you are travelling late. Its more like a stately house than a hotel.
