The views were exceptional. Nice bar and restaurant. Quiet and peaceful.
Staff on reception did not communicate very well and were confusing. Got there in the end though.

Good food, nice staff! Had a wonderful view of the water. Lots of stairs to some rooms so good exercise as well. Not much going on here during the winter but would love to come back and use the paths in the woods during spring/ summer.

The spectacular views and historic building with comfy beds compensate for the the rest of the experience. This was a reunion for me - as I used to stay in the tower room with my family when I was a kid.
It's over-prized with low quality food (restaurant and breakfast). The room lacked basic amenities like lightbulbs and a working fridge.
