Hotel Kirstine

The hotel common areas are beautifully decorated and the location is great. The front desk staff was absolutely lovely and helpful. Although when I asked if they expected my room to be cleaned when I stopped back at the hotel around 4pm on Saturday before the wedding dinner, they didn't really know. I asked them if they could have it cleaned and fresh towels but that did not happen.

We were in room 203 and the door that opens to the stairwell slams every time someone walks through it. With it being a hotel with events and people staying up late, the door was slamming about every 10 minutes until past 1am. The young women in the room next door were coming and going all evening which made it impossible to sleep until they stopped going through the door. In addition to that, the doors to the room need to be pulled shut and make a loud noise if you are not carrying the key. This is the case when one person remains in the room and the other is leaving. The rooms, themselves, seem well insulated to noise but the doors are a BIG problem. Also, our room was not cleaned by housekeeping nor did we get fresh towels. We left them on the floor of the bathroom and, when we got home after the wedding, the room had not been cleaned and the wet towels remained on the floor. It is not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel.
