Millennium Al Rawdah Hotel

The hotel in terms of facilities is very nice. The rooms are excellent with all amenities. The food is good at the restaurant both breakfast and lunch.

During my stay at the hotel, I enjoyed the facilities of the property. The rooms are large; bed is great with very nice additions that I have to admit they pleasantly surprised me. I am always cautious with the reception during check because they tend to ask stupid questions. But things went through nicely and Mr. Mohamed who, I think, was manager on duty was pleasant and professional. The process was short and sweet. My bag followed me shortly after I got in my room. Lunch was great indeed. It was a buffet with variety of Asian, Middle Eastern and International food. Breakfast was rich and well arranged on both days. However, the service at breakfast time was poor. There was one person standing at the counter and another who was busy with his mobile and WhatsApp messages. He passed by without looking at the guests sitting there. I alerted management of these remarks including late housekeeping response. I was pleased to see that the management took my comments seriously. I was contacted by the training manager who wanted to know in detail my experience and feedback. On behalf of the management team, he promised to take corrective actions so that staff are more attentive to customers. A week later, I was contacted again by the Guest Relation Manager thanking me for the feedback and confirming that they have alerted staff of the importance of surprising the customers with service more than expected at a 5 start hotel. I do appreciate that management is keen to listen to customers. This does not happen in all hotels, and I salute them for that.

Parking to check in was a nightmare. No parking in front of hotel to check in and you cannot access basement parking without checking in? Spend 30 minutes driving around to find parking far away from hotel, walk to hotel to check in and then walked far to find vehicle to drive to basement. Not good when the temperature is 47 degrees outside!

Can't turn of the AC and can't set the temperature. We was literally freezing all night. It's unacceptable. Check in and check out process is extremely slow. They sell 3pm late checkout rooms, but the day of arrival they said it's not guaranteed, we'll get what we paid for only if we are lucky and asking in the early morning first if we can get the late checkout (that was in the booking condition). So we had to wake up early and go to the reception. Really uncomfortable experience.
