Super close to everything didn’t need to rent a bike even and the infinity pool on top make you able to see the ocean and the island literally amazing view

The central location means you can walk to everything in Ao Nang. The views are fabulous from the top rooms. The buggy to take us up and down was appreciated as it is steep and this made it easy. Rooms are beautiful and large with a fabulous bathroom. Best hotel I stayed in in Thailand.
Breakfast was not especially inspirering, but there are many other options right outside the hotel.

Room: We had an Ocean View Executive room which was fabulous. It was at the back of the resort with the jungle behind the building and had an amazing view. We also had the infinity pool and swim up bar at the bottom of our building. The golf carts were nearly always available to drive us up the hill if we needed it and it was no problem for us to walk down. The room was clean and comfortable and a nice big balcony we could sit on even if it was raining. Location: Excellent location with shop, restaurants and the beach all within easy walking distance. All in all we thought it was great value for money.

The location is excellent and the infinity pool has beautiful views
This hotel may have been at the top of its game back in the day but it is way past that now. Many of the services and facilities that were apparently once on offer are no longer; we were shown a map of the resort on arrival which indicated many facilities were available, including more than one restaurant, however. Cafe Mood appears to have been closed down for some time, the pool table has ‘out of order’ signs on it which have clearly been there for a long time, the ‘kids club’ with ‘library’ is a tiny, bathroom-sized room with a few bits of plastic furniture and no books. The laundry service doesn’t operate. In terms of 4 star standards, this just isn’t it; I had to ask for more pillows in the room as we were given one each, the pool towels supplied are basically large tea towels (guests are told not to use their room towels at the pool), there are no cushions on the loungers, daily room cleaning is minimal, the breakfast buffet is of backpacker hostel standard.
We were put off the breakfast when my husband watched a staff member remove a spoon from the jam which was covered in bees and drop them into the toaster to kill them. We mostly ate elsewhere for the rest of the week or ate the basics if we were leaving early for an excursion.
The staff are pleasant enough but seem to do the basics. The staff members at the infinity pool bar had very little in the way of work to do but, instead of proactively clearing up dirty dishes and glasses from the poolside, they mostly watched TV on their phones.
Overall, it’s pretty soulless; there is no buzz about the place, nothing keeping guests there instead of going into town for dinner and drinks.
