Amazing location and really comfortable bed with lovely decor

The room windows faced into the air vent system so there is a strong smell of everything being cooked in the pub. As my room was at the top and it was sunny it got hot and stuffy but I couldn’t open the windows as my room then smelt of the kitchen which was unpleasant. I do think the price is very steep and does not include breakfast

Fantastic service and the room was immaculate. Travelled with a puppy for the first time and completely exceeded my expectations. Would highly recommend and definitely return

Parking for the hotel is at its sister property The Manor House. Hotel check in was at the bar and getting to our room was like going through a maze. The room was large and inviting with a huge bed. There was a kettle and coffee maker. In the evening with one window open one could hear bottles and trash bins being moved around. That noise stopped around 10pm. Because of its location, I.e., Castle Combe, one pays a premium price for a room. Likewise, the restaurant was somewhat pricier than if it was in a less touristy village. A 10% service charge was automatically applied to the bill and that seems to be the trend in the UK nowadays. For the price one pays, breakfast should be included, but it’s an additional £20 per person. Overall, the hotel and restaurant were overpriced for what they are.
