Fantastic room and staff were very polite and welcoming. Fantastic 3 star hotel.

Drinks were expensive but isn't everywhere these days.

Breakfast was lovely evening meal wasn't nice

The bed was very comfortable. The hotel was very convenient to the wedding venue we were attending. The staff were very nice and friendly. They had all amenities in the room you would need (iron, hairdryer, kettle etc.)

The room was very outdated and completely bare of any personality (to be fair to them, they had photos of some of the basic rooms in the listing, so this wasn't a surprise) - the only thing on the wall was a TV. We were only given one slim pillow each so we went downstairs to ask for two more and they told us they would bring them up (my partner had to ask the bar staff because the reception also doubled as a bar for the indian restaurant so I'm not sure they really knew what to do. After nearly an hour he had to go back downstairs to ask again. It also wasn't very clean, there was heavy layers of dust all over the headboard, TV remote and light fixtures. The sink had limescale, scum rings by the plug hole. It seemed like they did clean the rooms (sideboards and carpet looked very clean) but you could tell they aren't doing a deep clean. One of the taps was missing it's cover. The tile grout in the bathroom were discoloured which I am sure is just old age staining but still unpleasant as you think this would be avoided with regular cleaning. The room was roasting hot so we turned the provided fan on and opened the window only to find that our room overlooked the intake/or extractor fan for the restaurant (I assume) which was so so loud we couldn't have the window open even though it was so hot.
