The location was fantastic for dog owners. A choice of country parks to exercise the dog. Particularly newmillerdam, literally 100m down the road with long and short loops. Our room was larger which gave us space to avoid the dog bed and bowls. As well as eating in the lounge area of the hotel, there were other pubs close by that were also dog friendly.
I appreciate that dogs were not permitted in the restaurant but I would have thought that staff would have set up the breakfast table for us, nothing special, just the basics like cutlery, condiments etc. Instead we had to find these ourselves. I'm not sure the Sunday morning breakfast was worth it as the hot buffet choice wasn't great. Saturday morning was much better with a choice. My advice, check if buffet in the restaurant or served in the bar area before booking.
