The Quay Hotel and Spa

We have stayed several times here and enjoy the location . Good car park and easy to travel to other areas . Spacious rooms , spa facilities if you desire and nice staff.

Our estuary view room was warm despite reasonable weather and only a fan to use , the window had a short safety lock so not able to open fully. A hotel of this quality needs air conditioning.

Everything, the views are amazing, the food was exceptional and the staff were so attentive.

Nothing

Receptionist with short hair was very snooty at check in, I did apologise we were 5-10 mins early for check in but could wait until 3. They started to get paperwork ready for us but her manner was rude and condescending throughout the exchange. We had booked 3 rooms for 7 people so have quite a large party, which included a birthday and an anniversary.

Staff and food

The fact your are now charged for use of the pool and gym etc £50 a couple peak times when you already pay premium for the pleasure of staying at a hotel that offers these facilities as selling points. The spa experience was well below par, I have used it before and this time I was disappointed to say the least! Was not offered a drink, was left sat in the waiting area for at least 10 minutes with no acknowledgement from staff passing by just ignoring me, minimal discussion before the treatment, room freezing , music so low you could not hear it and not at all soothing, therapist did not speak at all through the treatment so I was unaware of each process, products felt heavy on my skin and not nourishing like I asked for.
