Beautiful setting for the wedding we were attending
Upon check-in we had to walk through the conservatory - where a bridal party were having photos taken - to access our room.
As the bar closed at 10.30pm and we had a long day ahead the following day for the wedding we were attending, we went to our room - only to discover the aforementioned wedding reception was directly below our room. The music from the disco, along with the pulsating floorboards meant we couldn’t consider getting to sleep until it ended at midnight. Reception did offer to move us, which would have taken the best part of the time remaining until the disco ended, so we decided to stay put (not sure why we weren’t just given a room away from the disco to start with?)
Food and drinks were only available for breakfast and dinner - lunchtime didn’t exist!
The bar in the function room on the evening of the wedding was largely understaffed with one member of staff particularly proving incapable!
The food was nice at breakfast, the wedding breakfast & evening buffet.

Booked a superior suite and it was huge. Clean comfortable. Staff friendly. Breakfast was cooked fresh to order. Booked first evening meal which was good home cooked food. Could not fault this hotel
Cleaners didn't come in for our second day of stay. We saw them and they gave us fresh towels in the morning but no extra shower gel (one tiny bottle) for two people to last 2 nights. Not good enough.

The lady on the reception desk who greeted me was so friendly and welcoming.
Unfortunately the chap who was in the breakfast area was not friendly or particularly helpful.
