Beautiful room, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a lot of choice.

Fabulous location. We travelled by train at it has a ramp from Platform 1 to the hotel reception.
Brilliant location for mountain cable car, town and lake. Excellent breakfast options and all staff very helpful.

Very comfortable bed. Clean.
Lift did not go higher than 3rd level. I had a room on the 4th. With a damaged knee, it is not too easy to climb stairs. Restaurant excellent, but pricy.

The façade and the building’s history are its strongest assets. It’s clear that the hotel has long since passed its glory days. Reminders of its former grandeur are still there - the paintings, woodwork, rooms, and fireplace - but overall, the place feels tired and neglected
The hotel shows visible wear and tear throughout. The third-floor communal balcony, in particular, was in a poor state, with bird droppings and cigarette butts making it feel neglected.
Unfortunately, breakfast was equally underwhelming. Many of the serving dishes were empty or nearly empty, and staff were slow to replenish them, if they did at all. The entire breakfast experience felt poorly managed and fell well below expectations.
What stood out most was the general lack of care. The staff seemed indifferent and unbothered, which only reinforced that impression. It’s a shame, as the hotel has a lot of character.
Considering the price, the overall standard was disappointing and did not feel like good value for money
