Excellent table-service breakfast. Hotel is in the heart of the historic town of Volkach, with wonderful restaurants and stunning wines. The little sauna, free to those staying at the htoel, is lovely.
Water flow in and out of my washbasin was a little slow.

Es handelt sich hier um das älteste Gebäude der Stadt, ein Komplex, dessen Anfänge auf das Jahr 1404 zurückgehen. Die Zimmer sind eher hochpreisig, aber angesichts der Lage in der Altstadt und dem besonderen Charme des Gebäudes durchaus angemessen. Man fährt durch das Stadttor mitten in die Altstadt. Mit dem Elektroauto gibt es eine Parkmöglichkeit, für alle anderen Autos muss man 2 Minuten fahren / 10 Minuten laufen. Dort gibt es dann einen Innenhof, der zum Hotel gehört.
Das Personal ist ausnehmend herzlich und freundlich. Das Frühstück: Hammer. Außergewöhnlich. Es wird in der alten Gaststube serviert, der Raum ist beeindruckend und hat wohl über viele Jahrhunderte Gäste gesehen.
Es gibt nichts zu meckern. Man braucht aber die richtige Erwartungshaltung, siehe Beschreibung.
Es sind keine ultramodernen High-End-Hotelzimmer, sondern das Gebäude lebt von seinem verschachtelten Charme und den tollen Mitarbeitern.
