Excellent stay

We booked a king room with kitchen and it was very spacious and spotlessly clean. Very central location - walk to restaurants, shops and cafes within a few minutes. Staff amazing

Great Location for Franz Josef

Really great location near the Kiwi conservation centre. Very big unit with plenty of room to move. A really comfy King Size bed is included. There is also a single if you had a third person travelling with you. Staff were fantastic as well. Very quiet and it also a short walk to restaurants and cafes. There is also a restaurant next door which is excellent.

Plumbing was a bit weird in the bathroom vanity sink whereby the cold would change from freezing to piping hot and back to cold each time it was used.

Good mid tier place to stay in Fran Joseph

Super close to the main street of Fran Joseph. Short 2 min walk to the restaurants, supermarket and most of the activity HQs. Just opposite to the Kiwi wildlife center. Has electric fireplace, electric blankets. Parking right outside apartment. Check in counter was accessible and easy.

Room slightly older. Dining seats were worn with torn covers. Older TV, lower resolution TV feed.

Value for money and a comfortable stay ~

The Terrace is just located at the center of the town. Facilities were adequate for us for one night and perhaps the washroom/shower was newly renovated and good water pressure if I remember correctly. Managed to capture a little bit of milky way at night and good location to view the snowy mountain while eating breakfast the next morning.

Cannot recall anything.

Great Location, Very Comfy and excellent value for money.

Well located in the heart of town. Parked the car and walked to everything we wanted to do in town. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet.

TV reception could be improved, but not a major issue.

convenient access from the highway

Main entry door is uncurtained glass which lets in outside light from sunrise to sunset. Self catering facilities are minimal.

A simple economical motel room set up with the minimum that you require for a comfortable stay. Team are lovely and happy to help. Super close to all amenities in town. Walk everywhere including trail walks.

For the cost, it’s good value for money.

Very friendly staff, gave us very detailed information about everything we wanted to know about in Franz Josef. Room was comfortable and had a modern and nice bathroom. I liked that we got a discount card to a local restaurant where we got a lovely meal.

Perfect experience

It’s a perfect place to live, quiet and peace. Has enough space and comfortable bad. Whole room is clean, especially bathroom. The staff is friendly and responsibility, he wait us until 8pm, and guid us to park our car. Heater and electric blanket will keep you warm in winter.
