Absolutely everything! We LOVED our stay at Agriturismo San Martino. The place is so warm, welcoming and so tastefully decorated! The owner Karin who is also the interior designer of the property amongst many other roles she plays (ex fashion designer from Milan) is an absolutely wonderful and kind lady. It was fascinating to learn how she and husband started the Agriturismo. They only serve plant based food. The food was so wholesome and delicious! We are not even vegan but we enjoyed every meal here. The kitchen is run by a very passionate chef who puts her heart into preparing the food. The property is located on a serene hill. Loved sipping a glass of wine looking over the valley. We enjoyed hanging by the pool and walking through the many fruit trees. The walled city of Montepulciano is just a 15 minute walk!
Absolutely nothing.
Getting a cab is not easy (which is typical of Tuscan country side) so keep that in mind if you don’t have a car. Also bug spray will come in handy as there are lots of mosquitoes in summer

Absolutely beautiful ‘Agriturismo’ in the countryside but in walking distance (uphill!) of Montepulciano old town. We had stunning views out of both sides of our suite at the top of the house - the old town on one side, the spectacular Tuscan countryside on the other. Beautiful understated decor in rustic Tuscan style. Perfect location for exploring the area but also a peaceful spot to just sit and read in the garden or simply look at the breathtaking scenery! And Karin and her lovely staff are quietly ever-present to cater for every request.
Probably the best place we’ve ever stayed on our many travels in Italy!

What a wonderful small piece of paradise. We had the most beautiful stay, so relaxing and refreshing after visiting the big cities I cannot speak highly enough of this beautiful country oasis. All staff were very friendly and the food was out of this world. You can tell that so much thought and love goes into everything they do here.

We had such a wonderful stay at Fattoria San Martino. You can feel the attention to detail and care that all the staff put into the space, food and general experience! It’s beautiful, the sun hits the pool for so many hours, the breakfast view and the windows in the dinner space were idilic! Great to experience some plant based Italian cuisine, it was delicious.
It’s also a great place to walk to Montepulciano, as it’s a beautiful walk and only takes 16 minutes. Then we could try some local wines in town and walk back. It’s always a bonus not to have to find parking in these towns. Highly recommend this stay!
