Disappointing
Being next to the train station
The room was very old and dated, I put my backpack in the wardrobe and in the morning I found it crawling with ants 😡, i have seen chalk in thailand that helps remove ants, it doesnt cost much and it works why not do it. I read other reviews on google saying its soundproof, thats a damn lie I could hear everything in the train station, sorry but the old deteriorated were talking over 20 years old, conditions honestly are not worth more than 750฿. Put some love back into it and take care of the ants and then it maybe worth the money

Please ignore this review of the Bossotel review as it is actually for the Be Parahsingh hotel in Chiang Mai, sorry.
This is a complicated review of a brand new hotel that has some big pluses but a bit more negatives today, I hope the owners take this to heart and make the changes that are doable. The location is decent but if your booking in Chiang Mai I’d book a couple of blocks south, plenty to choose from with a way better pool setup if you care. Lots of pretty darn good $50.00 baht Thai restos nearby and a 7/11, for 100.00 baht you can have a Chiang and a Thai dish (small portions but good!) As well your just 50 metres off the main north south street. The reception staff are brilliant and most helpful with ANY question or problem, however they are over worked and often the desk is unmanned. The house-keepers are also over worked, they need 1or 2 more, they skimp on the toilet paper and I actually had to ask to have my bedding changed after quite a few days. Unbelievably there is no safe in the room nor at reception! Also no kettle/tea/coffee etc., in the room, hard to imagine. There are kettles, coffee, tea, snacks etc., in the lobby area. There is a tiny pool at ground level, in 2 weeks I saw 1 person in it, no loungers and no sun ever. There is a roof top deck with 4 loungers and chairs and a shower. To get to it I had to go down the elevator to the lobby and walk to another elevator, go up then walk up 2 flights Of stairs to the deck, very strange and totally inconvenient. The rooms are brilliant, I had their most deluxe, massive bed and extremely comfortable and a big bathroom. The deck with the room was next to useless, 2 metres by 2 metres, like an oven with an ac unit and facing a wall. Amazingly the T.V. Is a brand new 55”, sadly of the 6/7 channels none are in English and 1 is in French, if however you have a NETFLIX account at home you can access it here, at least I did, however many people do not have an account and NETFLIX is making some big subscriber changes. As it stands today even though I didn’t mind my stay I don’t recommend.

Our night at the Bossotel
The hotel was right opposite the railway station which is why we stayed there for the night. The interior design was fabulous almost like an exhibition, room 351 was exceptional with double aspect views. The was also a brilliant buffet breakfast
Although there was an electric kettle no cups, tea or coffee were provided. There was however free bottled water. The hotel was however a substantial distance from the town but of course great for the station.

Not the best but ok for a one night stay
Room view was nice and right opposite the local train station, but if you aren’t using the train, then there’s no point. There’s a small scale breakfast buffet arranged through a property opposite the road
Facilities were there but it’s obvious the hotel has been there for quite a while and all furniture, equipment were old. Have to travel a bit to reach main attractions in Chiang Mai.

Adequate for a night if you need to be close to the train station
It was somewhere to spend the night before our train the next morning. We picked the hotel specifically for this purpose. We were given twin beds instead of a double but we didn't have the will to go ask for a room change. It had all you needed so we were happy with that. Location wise, there was plenty of food options around if you bother to take a walk - way more restaurants than you could ever need. We found a great Japanese restaurant quite by accident.
The rooms weren't all that clean and there were stains over all the furniture. The rooms could do with an upgrade - but I fully understand that to do so would be a costly endeavour. We did come across another small hotel not more than 50 to 100m further along and checking on google, it looked new, a lot nicer and cheaper too. Might have been a better option.
