Our flight from East Midlands Airport to Jersey (UK) was cancelled due to NATS failure and we were forced to seek accommodation for the night. The nearest to airport hotels were all full but the Radisson Hotel were very helpful in finding 2 bed/breakfasts for us at Donington Park Farmhouse Hotel. This proved to be excellent and felt as though we'd actually achieved the first day of our holiday. All of the staff were great, the 2 rooms were quirky and delightful, we managed to get a veggie evening meal, despite the menu being aimed mostly at meat eaters, and there was a fantastic breakfast choice. Although a long way from anywhere - unless you had a car, which we didn't - the hotel surroundings are vast and we were able to go for a long country walk. The staff were quite happy to look after our luggage and let us use their facilities and lounge after we'd vacated our rooms as our flight wasn't due until the afternoon. I doubt we would go there again, unless we got interested in motor racing at Donnington or one of us got married there (unlikely), but this was such a wonderful place that it almost made up for us missing a complete day in Jersey. Thank you very much to all at the hotel.

Pleasantly surprised. This is a stones through from the Donnington Park Race track and the East midlands Airport, so do expect some noise during the day. I arrived at 6pm and things calmed down by then. lovely grounds, beautiful views across the valley. Hotel very well appointed in the room and public spaces. Staff and food excellent.

Lots of character and in a good location.
Bright Green exit light in my room which was ON all night
Coffee machine makes very watery coffee - breakfast was only ok for £12
