Charming location in Old Town with outdoor seating in the shade. The complimentary breakfast spread (arranged for you on your own private dining table) was large and impressive--breads and soft pretzel, deli meats and cheeses, fresh fruit, pie, yogurt, granola, scrambled eggs upon request. The staff was very friendly; one of them drove us to the train station with our luggage when we left because we could not secure a taxi at that early hour on a Sunday.
The sign for the hotel was almost entirely covered with ivy, so we passed it the first time trying to find it. The bedroom was warm, as we expected for late summer; a floor fan was provided, and the window opened but didn't provide much air flow.

The location was excellent, but ya gotta be able to make a 90° turn char to get into the parking area through a narrow corridor with wall guards. It was the best stay on my trip (thanks Rick Steves), dinner at the church (photo) next door, drinking wine and mixing with locals before the theater performance was spectacular. Breakfast spread was to die for - really the best experience sitting in their cozy breakfast room. Totally loved the stay
Leaving after one night —-would have preferred to stay longer. Also wish the pub was open when we were there but it was ok —reason to come back

Breakfast was amazing and set out and ready for us every morning. The gentleman that checked us in was very friendly and showed us to our rooms and was able to squeeze us in for dinner at the hotel without a reservation. The food was delicious, building was quaint and clean. A fun and unique place to stay. Location was also perfect- you could drive your car up to the hotel to unload, then park outside the city wall, which was only a few minute walk away. Hotel was close to city center and within walking distance to everything.
This was not the hotel's fault, but it was extremely hot the week we went. It would have been nice to have another fan in the bedroom. Luckily it did cool down at night! Would not change anything else!

Quaint.
We booked two rooms and even though we had a confirmation email for both rooms they informed us they only had one room and no other availability. After showing our confirmation email they called around to find us another room. I half expected them to pick up the cost for the additional room since we had prepaid and the reservation was nonrefundable but they did not. They made no attempt to correct the situation. Very disappointing.
