Das Hotel liegt in einem Weiler hoch oben an der Albula Passstraße. Die Zimmer sind einfach aber komfortabel.

spacious and spotless room, bathroom also very clean, and very soft towels.
The pillow was too thin, but this seems to be a standard thing around switzerland and germany, so not related to this hotel in particular.

The staff/owners are absolutely great, so friendly and welcoming.
I really appreciated the fact that they contacted us to let us know that the opening of the sledding run was delayed, and to offer us the opportunity to postpone the stay because of it. This is true customer service.
In addition, the hotel is very clean, and the food in the restaurant is excellent.
The location, right at Preda station, is very convenient.
There is no lift, so if you are on the 4th floor be prepared for that.
If I had known I would have asked for a room on a lower floor - recovering from a knee replacement a few months ago this was a bit tough for me!
Nothing against the hotel for this, I understand it’s an old building, but this is just to highlight it in case you have any mobility issues.
Also be aware that in winter you can’t drive there, and trains only depart every hour - again absolutely not a fault with the hotel, just be aware that planning is needed! We know this so not a problem for us, it was one of the reasons to choose the hotel.
