If you ever dreamt of staying in a proper castle, this is your chance! The rooms are authentic and spacious, but nonetheless very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and the breakfast staff lovely. We also really enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant Gut Matzen right next to the castle as well as our walk through the adjacent park. Communication via WhatsApp was very swift and efficient. :)
Like quite a few people already pointed out, there is no staff on site other than during breakfast. We did receive instructions on parking and how to get there with the email confirmation of our reservation, but it would have been nice to have somebody knowledgeable on site to provide some more information about the castle itself and things to do in the area. People with mobility issues should mention that with their reservation, as there can be quite a few stairs to climb....
