Good location and friendly staff

Staff were friendly and location was great for exploring Porthmadog and surrounding areas

Location by busy road but still noisy despite double glazing. The room I had had poor sound insulation from other internal noises. Locating a small fridge inside the small wardrobe means your clothes get a bit cooked, not a great place to store motorcycle clothing in the summer 🙄

Superb

Great location. Despite being on the edge of the village, it was quiet. AWESOME breakfast with continental and made to order options. Ample free parking. Hospitality was amazing.

I chose the single room as I was travelling solo. The room had everything I needed but the space was really quite small. As a solo traveller, I would suggest going with a double option simply for more space.

Cozy, friendly and fantastic breakfast

Staff super friendly, easy check-in, fantastic continental breakfast including a hot options cooked daily for each guest, small but very clean rooms with actual cleaning services everyday and everything you need. The bathroom was very nice and elegant, the soap and shampoo from the quality brand 'Rituals' was a special touch! The b&b is a few minutes from the city of Porthmadog, bus stop, train station. The Village itself does not offer much beyond a few average pubs and shops, however it can be a basis to explore surroundings (Harlech Castle, Criccieth Castle, Steam Railways, Snowdonia, Bryn Cader Faner, Portmeirion, Caernarfon)

It was not the fault of those managing the lodge, but some guests were a bit noisy when we stayed.

Very enjoyable as the weather was excellent.

The cooked breakfast was very good, in fact it was too much so on the last 2 mornings we settled for the continental breakfast and this was more than adequate.

I have mobility problems so the fact that the dining room was down some very steep stairs was a little drawback but I managed with the help of my husband and my walking stick.

Perfect place to stay when visiting the Railways in Porthmadog.

The greeting experience was good. Breakfast was exceptional for choice and amount on offer , beautifully cooked and well presented. Room clean ,neat and comfortable .

Everything was good and the facilities were perfect for our situation.

- clean rooms, fresh towels every day on request, even body lotion in bathroom - kettle, tea bags, instant coffee, milk - delicious breakfast - even better than some 5 star hotels - late check in procedures - very polite and kind owners

Quiet room with a superb bathroom and shower. One of the best cooked breakfasts I've had!

We had a very nice room, with a superb bathroom. It was clean albeit a little small for the price. The breakfast was top notch, very nice cooked breakfast on plenty of choices with cereals and yogurts etc. It was just 5 mins, on foot, from the town centre for evening meals etc.

The beds didn't have headboards from what I remember. Made the room feel a bit 'bargain basement', which, from the price we paid, it certainly wasn't.

Excellent all round. Couldn't find fault. Superb accommodation. Tremendous hosts. Definitely recommended.

nice hosts but be careful booking a single room unless you are very small or used to travelling in Japan

the owners were very friendly and it was easy and good to store my bike safely - the location is good and a good breakfast

the room ( a single ) was absolutely tiny - no room to move at all really and for £70 is wasn’t good value I’m afraid

Exceptional

We really enjoyed our stay. We were warmly greeted on arrival. Our room was lovely and clean and comfortable. You had everything you needed. Mini fridge in room had a small amount of milk so you could make a tea/coffee on arrival after your journey and there were two cartons of water and also tea, coffee, sugar, hot choc sachets available.. The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of choice.There was also the option to order hot/cold sandwiches during the day/early evening, a picnic to take out and even an afternoon tea and a very comprehensive drinks menu too. Lovely courtyard to sit out in, weather permitting. Even an umbrella in your room to borrow if needed. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return and will recommend to friends and family.

There wasn't really anything not to like.

quiet,peacefull

right next to high street,yet no noise,lovely room with fridge and tea/coffee,great owners,nice breakfast good.very peacefull

only problem was stairs to room ,no lift,if disabled need a ground floor,did inform me,bit struggle but still enjoyed
