Wonderful stay

We had a very pleasant stay of three nights. It felt a bit dystopian sometimes since we were the only guests at that time, nonetheless we never had the luxury of a private resort before. The bungalow was spacious, comfortable and traditionally furnished. The outside shower and bath were great. The facilities such as the swimming pool were very nice. The area was green, peaceful and quiet, everything was well maintained. We ate twice at the resort and really enjoyed the food. We rented a scooter at the resort to move around, visit beaches and the waterfalls. The staff was hospitable, warm, friendly and helpful. We would definitely come back. Oh, and we loved Sasa (the dog).

Best place we have ever stayed!

We absolutely loved staying here! Resty and her team are so kind and helpful, and the resident dogs super friendly. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable with lovely outdoor bathrooms. We loved wondering around the beautiful grounds and the kids spent hours in the gorgeous pool. We took the short walk to the local beach to watch the sun go down over the Gili Islands and found a cool beach bar - Yomans- perfect for drinks at sunset. The highlight of our trip to Indonesia and one of the best places we have ever stayed and we really hope to come back some day.

Don’t think twice - just book. Perfect.

Couldn’t recommend this place more. It is STUNNING - the pool area and little man made beach is so pretty. The plants make it feel tropical and jungley with a beautiful view of the Lombok mountains in the background. It’s paradise. The room is more like a little apartment with separate living room, bedroom and huge bathroom with outdoor shower with sunken stone bath. The staff are amazing - particularly gecarica (??) and diwa. They made sure to bring my dinner to the room after i hiked rinjani. Gecarica (sorry not sure this is exactly his name) - he was so kind and took me to the ferry pier, helped me when i had bought an non-existent ferry ticket and also drove me to the ATM and charged me no extra. This is an example of going above and beyond. PLUS there are lots of sweet dogs on the property which are all so friendly. Can’t wait to come back.

I totally recommend to stay here. Really nice!!

The service is excellent and the apartment is really nice. The resort is very quiet and it is all very clean and the facilities have a good maintenance. Apart from that, we had to leave before 8 am and they prepared the breakfast before time just for us. Although we were going to take a taxi, they offer us to take us to the port with their car.

Exceptional

Last minute booking, arrived late to property hungry after climbing rinjani. The guy who checked us in arranged for rice with vegetables to be dropped into us. The apartment was beautiful, hot running water. A bath and an outside shower, this was perfect after the mountain climb. Breakfast in the morning I believe there are options but I asked only for toast and banana, tea and coffee in available in the room aswell as a a mini fridge with free water and beer and juice for extra price. I needed an ATM to settle the bill, they kindly offered to take me to one while dropping us off at the harbour. Beautiful accommodation set within lovely garden area. Dogs bark on arrival but they are happy calm and no bother at all. Highly recommend this place.

If there is no staff, it is because we stole them

Very nice and cozy resort. The bungalow was spacious, neat and comfy. The pool and the restaurant as well. The food and the staff were very very nice. We might have stolen them 3 nights in a row to play uno with us. They are all the sweetest angels and made sure we were all looked after and brought us fresh coconuts when we were ill. The dogs were very sweet and wished us a goodmorning every day. They provide taxi service on request and payment as well, not too expensive. From the resort to the harbour was about a 15 minute drive, so very well located. 10/10 would recommend going there

Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay!

The staff were lovely and very accommodating! The family who run the resort were so welcoming and made you feel like you was at home. The resort was beautiful and the food in the on site restaurant was delicious. We look forward to staying with them again!

very nice garden with lot of different kinds of flowers and plants. Helpfull owner who help me to solve some problems with broken electronics. nice pool

beds not so comfortable. its far away from everything so you need to rent scooter for 150k to see something,but that we know from before so still recommended

restaurant wasn’t open and that was not advised and it was in the middle of nowhere so didn’t make it easy just to pop out for food.

Beautiful place with lovely staff

The resort was a very peacefull and relaxing place with lovely staff in a beautifull surrounding. We felt very welcome. Although the facilities are still recovering from the terrrible earth quake in 2018 and the COVID period, we really enjoyed it.

Maybe the shower water pressure could have been better and some minor things, but this did was a real issue

The rooms were really spacious and clean with lovely bath and outdoor shower. loved the swimming pool and the nature surrounding it. the staff were so friendly and helpful and the restaurant area really nice - food was great too! short walk to the beautiful beach. excellent value for money.

It's a dirt cheap 5 star resort. We were the only guests.bgot a massove update and gave us the fanciest room. Opened the kitchen and got Vip treatment. The hotel does not have a beach front and they gave us a scooter for free. What else can you ask for? This is hospitality at it's best.

The room was quite spacious for two of us

Hotel Medana is a dying business. We were the only guests who were staying there. There is no water heater, the water kettle was rusty... The location is really far from everything and the facility are not available (no restaurant no swimming pool) just empty and dying resort. Location is really far from civilization, plus there is no taxi operating in the area. If you really have to stay in this area please avoid this place and try Mina Resort instead

Fantastic hosts! We were visiting during low season so a bit quiet. The facilities are nice with large rooms and a good pool area. Recommended.

Fantastic stay, personal attention by owners living on property, free shuttle to harbour. Luxuary bathroom and patio.

A hidden gem resort with only 6 tasteful private bungalows. huge garden for the numberbof rooms.

Was a bit dark on arrival. The owners dogs are lovely pets, but they could have informed about dogs before arrival to avoid confusion.

Paradise in Lombok

amazing grounds and property, Orig wen out of his way for me, even going out and buying me dinner on both nights after I just came from climbing Rinjani. The pictures do not do it justice.

Amazing!

It is a very nice resort, peaceful and quit!. The rooms are very nice and big. The staff is really sweet and helpful. They drove us al the way to the ferry!

Nice resort, but please without animals.

Resort is used, but nice and very close from harbour. Big pool and nice bathroom.

In resort there were many dogs and chickens, it means during breakfast we had them still under our legs. Many dog's poos were in the resort all around. Almost each morning we had a dog inside of our apartment, because our doors were opened in order to have a fresh air. Holiday atmosphere was getting worse. The toilet did not work properly.

Great place to stay

We loved our staying at Medana resort. Pictures don't do justice, the place was way more beautiful then we expected. So we have even spent one whole day without leaving the resort, what we have never done on vacation before as we are quite active people. The family that rules that resort is very nice and kind and helped us with everything we needed.
