Superb hotel, beautifully and tastefully furnished and with a calm ambience. A fine breakfast and a free glass of wine and snacks in the evening.

We had a really lovely stay. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast was excellent and the staff were extremely friendly. The hotel’s location right in the city centre is ideal – we were very pleased

The staff at the Ansgar Hotel were very friendly and had great ideas to help us gather family history information beyond the usual tourist requests. They were very accommodating with our request to stay in the lounge until our train departure when the weather wasn’t the best. Our room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay in Esbjerg. It was an easy walk from the train station and centrally located for points of interest in the town Including Sands Restaurant where we were booked for dinner.

The the room was comfortable the breakfast was great and a glass of wine in the evening was lovely
It was not possible to regulate the heat in the room we opened the windows but we were located at the front. The noise from outside was constant with people returning home from a night out until 4am then the street cleaning started. On the second night two fireworks were set out in the street at 1030 it was loud it shook our room 😥. I personally got very little sleep for 2 nights.
