We had a very pleasant stay. The bed was extremely comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the surroundings were absolutely beautiful. The atmosphere was relaxing and we really enjoyed our time here.
A few small improvements would make the stay even better: there could be more sun loungers around the pool, and having a mini fridge in the room would be very convenient.

Pool and Jacuzzi very nice. Indoor sauna warm when it was actually operating. Very cheap rate. Reception staff friendly and helpful, not their fault that the Hotel was a construction zone upon our visit (off season). Comfy beds, good size room.
Sadly we visited on a bad week off season. Restaurant was closed (not mentioned on booking.com nor on german or english website - only a small notice on the Czech website. Only a very limited "cantine style" menu offered, no tap beer, no proper kitchen service. Had to go out driving to the nearby village to find acceptable food. Breakfast was an embarrasing joke, the worst I have ever experienced in Czech Republic and I have been visiting since 1990: Old stale bread, some cheese and salami, half empty trays of scrambled egg. Room ice cold. Radiators needed aeration and even after this it was cold. None of the saunas operative in the morning. All in all disappointing.

Spa was functional. Outdoor sauna was very hot, which we like. The steam room and pool also were nice. The hot tub was always occupied so we did not try it and the indoor sauna was out of order our entire stay. The location of the hotel is amazing with myriad trails accessible from the property. Beautiful property on a pond with views of the Elbsandsteingebirge. The woman working at the front desk was extremely friendly, she was really a highlight of the trip. The cleaning women were also very friendly but unfortunately (see below) not entirely thorough.
-Spa opened at 4PM and there was no water or snacks whatsoever.
-Breakfast was very bad, if you went later in the time window, they did not refill so there was no food left. The coffee was terrible. No toaster. In addition, I was told not to eat off a certain table "that is NOT for you" - I honestly thought the guy was joking but he was not as they were doing some kind of corporate event and other guests were not allowed those pastries. As other guests have mentioned, we were also bullied to leave the restaurant and warned that they were closing multiple times before they started loudly vacuuming. The free coffee was so bad we bought cappuccinos from the bar and ended up sitting outside at dirty/uncleaned tables to avoid being further scolded for being in the restaurant after 10:10 am and to avoid the vacuum.
-I immediately canceled breakfast for the rest of our stay and did not return to the restaurant. We ate all our meals at a neighboring restaurant Refugio, which is a lovely place.
-There was an ash tray full of cigarette butts on our balcony when we arrived. The cleaning people came once and tidied the room but did not empty the ashtray.
-The reading lamp was placed in such a way that it obstructed your sleep (directly above your head)- there was no space. Hard to explain but it was like installed directly where your head should go.
-The bed was very stiff, ok, but not hotel quality comfort.
-They claim they are 4 star but I have to say given the service and facilities that is very much an overstatement.
-It is one of those hotels where the location is so good so you grin and bear it but despite the wonderful location, I would not return as the costs were just way too high for a hotel of this standard.
