Friendly, helpful staff who made us feel very welcome. Lovely breakfast. Nice setting on the village green, and fun, cricketting names for things.

Fabulous staff, very helpful and always friendly. Lovely old pub in a quiet location We had an evening meal and breakfast and both were delicious. Rooms were comfortable and clean.
We were going to Stansted Airport and the overnight experience was very good.
Very minor points mainly to manage expectations of anyone reading this review. The residential wing of the pub needs redecorating, and some facilities need to be refurbished but this is purely cosmetic, everything else was great.

Lovely friendly pub in a beautiful village with great food.
The shower in our room was poor.

The food was exceptional, and the Breakfast in the morning was excellent.
The service in the pub was superb.
The room was a good size and the bed was extremely comfortable.
The surrounding area was also really nice.
The shower was not good, when turning the shower on there was hardly any water so was difficult to have a good shower.
When coming down for breakfast I did notice a lot of flies that were on the sliced bread for toast, I really think that this should if been covered, so I have it a miss.
Would be good if there was an iron in the room.
On the first evening I stayed I was due at an event. For which I was delayed because taxis rarely go to the pub and consequently had to end up driving myself to the event.
When booking maybe this should be highlighted.
