The Riverge Akebono is a nice hotel on the banks of the River Asuwa. There is ample parking, and during our stay in early April superb views of the sakura across the river. My wife greatly enjoyed the onsen facilities. There was a minor mix up with our room, so we had to move rooms on the final day of our stay. The management was very apologetic and gave us a free seven course dinner to compensate, and didn't charge us for parking. The Asuwa Shrine is and easy walk up the hill from the hotel.
The sofa was very low down, and rather dusty, which made me sneeze.

The breakfast was great with lots of choices, both Japanese and western. We didn’t need lunch that day.
It was raining so it was nice to have a good grill restaurant just across the street, and the parking was covered.
Like all Japanese hotels the pillows are very hard so I end up sleeping with no pillow.
