The only thing I liked was the view.

For the amount paid, there should have been a lot more facilities/amenities available. We wanted an iron and hairdryer; I did not receive an iron till the next day and in the end no hairdryer at all. No slip ons, no toothbrush/toothpaste, no milk/coffee mate. They haven't maintained the hotel well at all, the doors were hard to open, in one room the door lock was broken.

Sri Lanka is a definite!

Gorgeous setting, friendly staff, clean swimming pools, great gym facility, tasty fresh omelettes on offer for breakfast each day! We were full board rather than all inc. great idea as drinks were so reasonable we never would have been able to drink the amount that we would need to, to make the difference!! the all inc. guests also had local spirits & a list of those drinks included which we wouldn't have wanted.

Not enough plain food for the tourists who don't want spicy food every lunch & evening, no decent wine at all, only a Chardonnay & one red wine...both were shocking!! Also staff didn't clear the tables ready for people waiting to sit down to eat efficiently in the dining area.

Really enjoyed the break and my son's wedding at the hotel.

Breakfast and Dinners were excellent. The staff - all of them - were absolutely outstanding The Pool was excellent - and the staff most helpful

The hotel room and general amenities were a bit run down and needs some upgrading. As an example the bath in the bathroom has definitely seen better days!

It was restful, my partner and I had a happy time

Very comfortable, good food, great beach, pool & garden. Most of all, the staff - they work so hard & are so nice.

Lots of maintenance issues, which is understandable considering hotel was closed until December 2021, but needs to be attended to soon.

Beautiful Hotel & Friendly Staff

I have stayed here before and was extremely happy to find that the standards had not dropped. The hotel is clean, the staff are very helpful and friendly. The food was very good! I will definitely be returning!

Really recommend this hotel! Pool area is perfect! As a female solo traveller I always felt safe

Good and spacious pool area, comfortable beds, lots of storage in the room. Buffé in Admirals room was super good, desserts were delicious! Gym was great!

Poor wifi in the room. There was a bit of a rush to the sunbeds in the morning, some people went outside at 6am just to grab a sunbed, to then go back to there room.

Enjoyable

Staff need training. A five star hotel should have hairdryers in each room. There should be teaspoons provided at the tea and coffee station. Staff need to be told to smile, to look happy to be there not grumpy.

beautiful location and beach.. communal areas modern and attractive as was the pool.

staff slow, not attentive at all. complete lack of communication but that could be a language barrier. lack of poolside service. no activity schedule. food monotonous and average. no local food on offer, catering for the masses and only one restaurant open. executive lounge closed also.

No enough personal at the bars and restaurants, we wait for one hour for a terrific bad sandwich,no service at the pool

disappointed as it used to be an amazing hotel

the food and location ( pool and beach!) was nice . staff was friendly

Room was really run down, it was not worth the money we spent . really bad rooms.The water in the sink didn’t go down , will get blocked and many times the water is everywhere. There was no mini bar in the room even though the booking said we would have one in the room.

The room was great. The room was very spacious and beautifully arranged. The hotel architecture and the land it resides on is beautiful. The breakfast buffet was great. We were also provided complimentary juices and cocktails (which comes with the suites I believe).

The hotel was severely understaffed. The staff was great but it was very difficult to get service at the restaurants, pool and bar. Some parts of the hotel requires some refurbishing as well (which I noticed they were carrying out presently).

the garden and the pool were fantastic

the service was too slow and substandard. for example like the lack of beach towels. the food was too simple and not interesting for the price for sure.
