Beckenham Park Hotel

The staff were all very helpful and polite...very considerate. There is a little garden with a couple of table and chairs - so they are trying hard. The tray for tea and coffee making including a bottle of water. For me a bit of a health freak I would have liked a few more healthy options at breakfast, having said that there was natural yoghurt a few bits of fresh fruit, and eggs cooked be cooked for you. All in all for the price excellent little hotel.

Breakfast, croissants not fresh good quality but at least there were some!. Would have liked a sourdough loaf to cut slices or sliced better quality bread. No saucers for large tea cups. Our bathroom was a bit tight on space especially very little space to put your personal items (one very small table beside sink).

The location was the reason I booked this Hotel, as it was close to a Rail station and the Crystal Bowl venue, which we were attending for a concert. The area was quite nice, with many nice restaurants, pubs and shops. The Hotel security was good and in a quiet location and easy to find from Beckenham Junction Rail Station. Staff were pleasant and very courteous. Breakfast was OK. Good, free WiFi.

To be fair I would usually pay for a higher end Hotel but chose Beckenham Park Hotel for its location and was reasonable for the price/night. Sounds from other rooms could be heard.g: People talking, showers running, furniture moving, also staff getting breakfast ready across the corridor. It was fairly warm and just after a heat wave so the room was very warm, there was no air con and the beds were made up with a fairly high tog duvet, which I removed, a nice crisp, sheet would have been better. Rooms were very tired and wanted a refurb e.g The shower needed regrouting and a grout mould treatment. The shower, an electric unit although good power would not turn off without some effort. General decor was a bit battered. One set of towels were very dirty and I am not sure the bed linen was unused as it was very creased but we returned after midnight, so no staff available.
