From the time we checked in, the staff was exceptional. We were quickly shown to our room and allowed to pick the courses we would like for dinner. Dinner was amazing! Probably one of the highlights of our trip for meals. From the appetizer to the homemade Disaronno, it was the perfect way to start our trip. The sunrise the next morning from our room was truly breathtaking. Breakfast was again a wonderful interaction with the staff and amazing food. We would definitely recommend this beautiful place and hope to return in the future.
Nothing. It was all exceptional and there was nothing to not like.

Surroundings and the pool
The main host at reception and in the restaurant and bar, seemed quite moody (probably end of season tiredness?). Already with check in we felt rushed. Unkind / annoyed when serving breakfast and dinner.
Regarding the restaurant:
The pasta was good and the fish was also well prepared, and the wine list is truly excellent. Unfortunately, the sauces were a major disappointment. It seems that almost every sauce, and even the purée, is thickened with cornstarch or potato starch, which gives the dishes a heavy and rather artificial texture.
The orecchiette with turnip greens was particularly disappointing, the sauce lacked flavour and balance completely. The zucchini that followed was served cold and, strangely, tasted strongly of fish. As I don’t eat fish this was really bad.
