Individuelle lodge, um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Schönes Ausgangspunkt um Wale zu sehen, Spaziergänge durch walkers b

Tolles geräumiges Zimmer, spektakulärer Ausblick, reichhaltiges Frühstück, sehr freundliches Personal.

Das Internet hat nicht bis schlecht funktioniert. Die Klimaanlage funktionierte ebenfalls nicht ausreichend.

Friendly and helpful staff but not 5-star hotel status.

Cozy family home with very attentive and helpful staff.

Wifi in one of the rooms did not work at all. There were also no hanging hooks or towel rails in the suite.

We saw many whales which exceeded our expectations. The accommodation was 3 star

View was perfect for whale watching

There are a few things that urgently need attention to make this a 5 star place. 1 - No inverter during load shedding. 2 - only two TV channels ? 3 - the roof terrace does not have any railings and should not be compliant. 4 - the lack of maintenance is clearly visible. The flooring on the roof terrace is torn and shabby, the geyser evacuated tubes on the roof are broken etc. Tidy the place up, add a proper Inverter, make the rooftop safe by adding rails.

Good location, not great value of money

The host is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was super everyday and the views from the lodge are great!

The rooms need a little TLC. It seems like they are not being maintained the way they should with mould in some areas and cracks in others. Our bed linen and pillow cases were stained although this was handled by the host immediately.

Very disappointing upgrade to Sea Side Cliff

The most magnificent view and especially when the weather is great, and we were very lucky with the weather. Unfortunately that was all that was good.

We were upgraded to the Penthouse, which sounds nice, but it was awful. We walked into the room and it stank of bleach, the floors were moist and sticky, it was like the room had only just been cleaned. We found out the next day that the reason the room smelt so bad was because it had been flooded, so we were actually smelling really bad damp. The one bathroom sink tap did not work, you could see the floors were lifting and the penthouse balcony was covered with AstroTurf which was lifting all over the place. No one responded to my WhatsApp message that night, only the next morning and then they offered to move us across the passage to a much smaller room that shared the same appalling balcony, which we declined as by then we had managed to get rid of the smell. I suggested a discount, so basically some of our money back and was told by the manager that the money went directly to the owner overseas, so she did not think that was possible. And of course we've heard nothing from them. It was very obvious to us that no one was checking rooms, if they had they would have left us at Sea Star Lodge. We would certainly not recommend booking at Sea Side Cliff, it is extremely expensive and in need of maintenance. This BnB also does not have a generator or inverter, so they are badly affected by loadshedding.

Excellent hotel with outstanding hosts.

I chose Sea Star Lodge for the location and the view out on the bay. Also in the advertising the hotel looked very appealing. All my expectations were surpassed as my hosts Kate and husband Blessed were very friendly and went out of their way to make my stay fabulous. All the staff were excellent and nothing was to much trouble. The rooms were outstanding, spotless and very comfortable. The breakfast is delicious with lots of choices on the menu. Sea Star Lodge is one of the best hotels I have stayed in over the last 40 years of worldwide travel. Thank you Kate and Blessed.

The fact that I booked a room and got there we were given a different one due to some issues with the bath and the bed was not that comfortable

A lovely place in a lovely location

The location. The courtesy call before hand. The prompt service. The cleanliness. The friendly staff

It would have been nice to have been told when loadshedding was occurring seeing as I got a courtesy call to find out where I was half an hour before it started. I mention this as I asked where to go to, to get a decent take away meal which would need to have been heated as I mentioned I would eat it later. I was also not told that the bed side lamps had loadshedding bulbs in them which was a lovely add on but I only realized in the morning when loadshedding started again and they stayed on. I was supplied a lamp though. All in all I will definitely stay there again so thank you. This was constructive feedback for future visits which I definitely plan on doing :)

Beautiful place with excellent service.

We were received by the most friendly and helpful gentleman. He went out of his way to make our stay comfortable and memorable. All the rooms were beautiful and clean, with the most amazing views.

Everything was up to standard.

Had a great time, we'll come back!

The hosts are fabulous! We felt very welcome from the minute we got there. There's a nice small pool area with ocean view. You can also see the ocean from the balcony attached to your room. Perfect to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. The breakfast was nice too and we liked that there was Netflix on the TV. We went to a cafe and to see the caves nearby.

Maybe some more of a separation between the bathroom (toilet) and the rest of the room would be nice, but that's really the only thing we noticed.

Amazing gem in Gansbaai, perfect location and wonderful hosts.

Magnificent stay! The hosts Kate and Blessed were welcoming, accommodating and went above and beyond to make our stray very special. Our room was spacious with a beautiful view of the ocean and a balcony where we enjoyed drinks with a view of the ocean. Our hosts arranged last minute massages for us that we had at the lodge and were the best we have ever had! The lodge is very close to a trail that runs along the beautiful ocean coastline.

Worth every minute. We did not want to leave.

The location is close to a shop and a few minutes drive to a “town center”. The hosts are honestly the best part of the stay. Blessed and Kate are legends.
