Rather avoid if you want better service

Distance: It is about 3km from the Golden Temple and that's where all the good things about the hotel end. I would rather choose some other hotel a bit further away but better service. Breakfast: The staff at the breakfast area was courteous and food was decent.

Check-in: The staff was ill-equipped to handle weekend crowd. The lady at the front desk cringed to my face when my 2 yr old was shouting at the top of his voice. She had the cheek to tell me to take the kid somewhere else while taking more than 15 mins to have me checked in and allot me a room!.. There was no welcome drink. I had driven 5 hours to reach the hotel, which didn't really matter to the lady at the check-in. The room allotted first had issues with the bathroom. I had to go back down to the front desk to get the room changed. I was then asked to accompany the potter transferring the luggage to a new room. This is not a toddler friendly hotel. We were given only one set of key which meant we could not take the elevator until both me and wife were moving together. Breakfast: There was a waiting of 20 odd guests at around 9:30 a:m. Just wasnt pleasant. Room: Room was small and not worth the money.

Another happy stay at Hyatt

General service and rooms were great.

Service for suitcase collection should be quicker. Check-out service should be swifter and reception should not allow other guests to jump the queue whilst being attended to. This comes across as very unprofessional.

I would most probably not stay with you again for these reasons.

Our room was lovely and the overall facilities really good.

One point that let the hotel down was the restaurant. We dined there in the evening and had breakfast. On both occasions it was chaotic. Service was really bad as we did not get our full order. there was no seating at breakfast and we had to wait 10 minutes to be seated outside, which we were happy with. Again service was chaotic with us not receiving our order. This really need to be addresses.

I would recommend tyhe place to others with caveats

Location next to mall. The property itself & the food was really good. Responses to online messages was great.

The room was a little small to accommodate 3 adults. Room housekeeping left some to be desired. Front desk/reservations left some to be desired. One person didnt seem to know what was committed /communicated b y the other - not sure what purpose their computer system served here.

Overall was good.

Location is very convenient. Just enough close to Golden Temple to stay away from crowd.

Shower stall needs either a threshold or a door to keep water in, and not wet the bathroom floor.

Fantastic stay

Staff were attentive and go above and beyond to ensure your stay is perfect. Sonali at check in - professional and informative, Minush in Punjab Province gets a 5 star from us as he was absolutely excellent. Staff in Scoth Haus were excellent also

Not worth a 5 star rating

Location was good, walk to a mall but taxi for everything else. Bar was ok, although music choice was strange for a largely middle aged clientele, seemed to be staff choice!

Rooms were tired and not clean. Complained about the cleanliness and they reacted, but the room initially was well short of a 5 star rating.

Nice and clean rooms. Spa experience was amazing.

Waited over 45minutes to get room keys, had to sit and wait. Had to wait for around 30 minutes before we got a table for breakfast. Had to pay extra for taxi if I was paying by card. I had to ask about the facilities eg pool, gym, bar, spa. This is really the job for the front desk to inform me of the in house facilities.

An excellent overall stay. Will prefer to stay there again if I happen to travel to Amritsar.

The breakfast spread was very good as we enjoyed there for 2 days. we had opted for in room dining at 1am and the meals were excellent. the chicken dish was simply amazing. the services were excellent through out the stay and the staff was extremely polite and helpful. the only drawback was of the room size was not same as what we expected while booking.

The room size as shown in booking.com was not matching the actual standards. it was a bit smaller for 2 adults, 1 kid and 1 infant. But overall I have no complains from the hotel. the staff was simply amazing. Only thing is that they should also open a restaurant for ala carte for those who wish not to dine in the room. the only restaurant offered buffet in the evenings which everyone will not prefer.

Moderate but convenient too

We liked it's location it is next to the mall, so it's more convenient, otherwise it's just like moderate hotels.

In terms of cleaning, the room was not properly cleaned. Food was just ok, if you compare it with Hyatt Regency Delhi there is no comparison seriously. They have very good staff, service wise too good. Food is just awesome.

Mini bar items very expensive

Clean and shower 🚿 excellent

Don't touch the mini bar there is everything the Charge you even the water nothing is complementary. All mini bar items very expensive so don't take Chance. The don't explain or there is no price list for mini bar only when u use it small cold drink can very expensive 😅 5 star price..

Worst HYATT experience ever, let the brand name down by far. You need revisit your staff culture and room status.

Room, concierge service, front desk service. Room was dusty, dirty, mouldy. Aircon was worst no cooling at all. My dad room had no power from 3 am to 3:30 am.

Amazing stay!

Breakfast was delicious. Lots of variety. The chefcook Satya prakash was amazing. He made the best dishes. Service was great! Thanks to Ajay, Neha and Suraj from the breakfast. Check-in went fast with the help of Rohit. Komalpreet was very helpful. Soniya and jatinder cleaned our room very well.

This property is a old property and seems it has been badged with hyatt but actually it belonged to some local hotel.

Stay overall really nice, cosy and food was excellent.

Breakfast staff was good and good options to cater to everyone’s pallet. Had room service for dinner 2 nights in a row and loved the service. Food was excellent to be served in the room. Chef must get the kudos for serving excellent food. Room was decently prepared and tidy.

I expected Room to be quieter with noice control. Unfortunately, could hear everything happening in the lobby as my room was closest to the lifts.

Comfortable room; poor restaurant

The staff were very polite, well informed about the places. Rooms are clean and there isn't much noise. The views are excellent. They have a free shuttle from the hotel to the Golden Temple, which is a very big bonus.

The restaurant was very average, food was tasteless and the breakfast spread was ordinary. I don't recommend the restaurant at the hotel, The Punjab Pavilion. Much better places to go and eat in Amritsar.

Over all a fair experience

The Room and bathroom were very disappointing as it was quite small compared to the fair paid. The Breakfast was very good with good spread of regional and continental food. The good part of the location is there is a mall just adjacent to the property, and there is good connectivity to different places with availability of auto-rickshaws and app based vehicles. Over all it was fair experience.

The breakfast spread is good ! The hotel is right next to the Mall . the room size is a bit small . overall decent experience . would visit again . value for money.
