We enjoyed our stay overall, and the room itself was lovely, comfortable, and well presented. However, there were a few aspects of the experience that were disappointing, particularly considering the price we paid for our stay.
The view was amazing.
On arrival, we found it unusual that we were expected to make our own bed. While we appreciate that this is a family-run business, this was not what we expected from a hotel at this price point.
The pillows were also a significant issue. They were extremely flat and uncomfortable, and we needed to use three pillows each to get a reasonable level of comfort. We requested larger pillows, but unfortunately, the replacements provided were essentially the same. A wider selection of good-quality pillows would make a considerable difference to the overall guest experience.
Breakfast was well prepared and of good quality, but the menu was the same each day, which became a little repetitive during our stay. Some variation would have been appreciated.
We recognise and appreciate the personal nature of a family-run business, and there were certainly positive aspects to our stay. However, given the amount we paid, we expected a little more attention to these details and a level of service and comfort consistent with the price.
Unfortunately, the pillows were quite uncomfortable and resulted in sore neck and shoulders during our stay. We also found it unusual that the doonas were not already placed inside their covers. Having to put the doonas into the covers ourselves was unexpected and felt unusual for a hotel stay.
These are relatively small details, but they have a significant impact on comfort and the overall guest experience, particularly given the price paid for the accommodation.

After a very tiring journey from an early morning flight from Northern Ireland and a 3 hour car journey after hiring our car we were greeted with such a warm welcome . We had a gorgeous meal and cocktails at the bar followed by a very comfortable bed and good night’s sleep. Breakfast was excellent and the staff of the hotel were friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed our stroll around the garden pool and into the centre of the town . I am already looking forward to a return visit soon.Thank you for a wonderful memory. Hazel and Raymond

Excellent hotel! The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The staff are very friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The location is fantastic, and the overall atmosphere is pleasant and welcoming. We were very satisfied with our stay and would definitely choose this hotel again. Highly recommended!
