San Marino Resort

The location is great if you have small children. The water is knee-deep, if you want to swim you have to walk quite a distance. But if you like sand, this is the best location in Croatia. Breakfast and dinner were plentiful and varied. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

You have to pay extra for the mini-fridge in the room and the Wifi in the room is very bad, it works only in reception lobby (Sahara Hotel).

The resort staff were friendly, welcoming, kind, attentive, warm and professional. The beach was very beautiful, relaxing, calm, pleasant, and enjoyable. The room was modern, clean, well maintained, comfortable, pleasant and spacious. The restaurant was very big with many varieties of food and drinks to choose from. The surroundings was clean, relaxing, well maintained, pleasant, comfortable, and beautiful. There were many recreational and entertainment facilities, shops, bistro and bars nearby.

The meal is delicious. Staff are very welcome. The hotel complex is few minutes to seaside by walk.

Internet is like a whether in England frequently changing.

I have no complaints about the room, and the check-in was handled professionally (though I don't quite understand why half the payment had to be made in advance and the other half upon arrival—something I hadn't encountered before, as it's usually one or the other). It is commendable that the drinks come included with the buffet. Check in was professionally done and the receptionist was kind and courteous. The view from the balcony was nice and the housekeeping team seem to be doing a good job.

The weak point is the restaurant and buffet area. It’s chaotic—a scene of total disarray—and it seems that quantity definitely takes precedence over quality. A mess forms quickly, yet no one seems in any rush to clean it up. It’s hard to catch a staff member, and even when you do, the response is pretty indifferent—basically, "we have what is there" There are plenty of options, but most seem rather random, as if someone just gathered up leftovers and tried to cobble something together. I’ve never seen a place without plain yogurt; even when they do have it, it’s just a single carton that vanishes instantly. There are no omelettes or fried eggs, the fruit juices are just water mixed with syrup, and the line for the goulash was a sight to behold (there was always a line for something). The biggest mistake is having just one large restaurant serving several hotels, instead of each hotel having its own dining area. I was quite surprised to see guests queuing for 30–40 minutes before the restaurant even opened, followed by a stampede. Restaurant situation was quite disappointing as the half board was the mean reason for booking. I would also mention that the parking area was located off-site and quite dislocated.
