Etosha Village

The location is excellent — right next to the gate and only about a 6-minute drive from the park entrance. The rooms are nice and spacious, with a particularly large bathroom. The staff are friendly and helpful. Dinner is served buffet-style, and guests are automatically assigned to one of three outdoor restaurants. The food was good overall, and we enjoyed having a variety of options.

Unfortunately, the food was far from outstanding compared with other places we stayed during our three weeks in Namibia. The game meat was overcooked and a little tough, and the vegetable buffet was not replenished very regularly. Overall, we would rate the food around 7.5/10. The Wi-Fi was also very poor — 1/10. The connection was unreliable and difficult to use.

The accommodation was very clean, modern and comfortable yet in a local Namibian style. The food was excellent, and the lodge is very close to Andersen gate at Etosha, so very convenient. Overall an excellent stay!

Eating breakfast in the morning was cold because it was winter and outdoors.

The rooms are far from the restaurant, pool, and other facilities. Dinner is meat-based and not suitable for vegetarians, or even for those who don’t want to eat only “braai.”

The food was very good and most of the staff were pleasant. The place was very clean.

They would not recommend a ride service to get back to Windhoek, thus the bartender recommended a fellow who took advantage of us and dramatically overcharged us. In addition, fellow guests, who we ran into in the airport told us that $200 was stolen from the wife's purse their last morning at breakfast at Etosha village. The mattresses were in poor condition. Etosha National Park is not the best place for wildlife viewing. Some guests hardly saw any. There are not enough roads, thus, the animals are off in the bushes.
