We were lucky to be able three nights at this beautiful Lodge! From the moment we arrived we felt welcome and at home! The lodge itself offers everything you need and more! The rooms are beautiful and so comfortable and the pool area is 10/10. Breakfast was served on the veranda - it was always plenty and so delicious. In particular we want to highlight how well we were treated by each and every one there. The went beyond and above for us and took care of everything! We will definitely be back and can highly recommend this beautiful place!

From the moment you arrive you are looked after like royalty. The staff could not be more welcoming and helpful. The ambiance and tranquility create the most relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant and bar both inside and out are excellently appointed offering delicious and varied food and an extensive drinks menu. The pool area is a relaxing and chilled area with a magnificent few, a great place to spend the day. The breakfast is quite simply one of the best I have ever had! Your own private continental buffet served to your table including fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal and freshly baked pastries. The hot choice of breakfast was varied and all delicious! The rooms are stunning, comfortably air conditioned, a well stocked mini bar and tea/coffee area, both a living area and bedroom. The beds are comfy and the bathroom exceptionally clean and very spacious. The rooms are cleaned and tidied 3 times a day and the bed time chocolate and storybook awaiting you when you return from dinner is a lovely touch. Things to do within easy reach which we did were wine tasting (organised by the staff) and day trips to Nature's Valley and Storms River (again directions and maps provided by the staff). Go to The Blue Rock Cafe in Nature's Valley and both Bramon and Newlands Vineyards. We will definitely return and highly recommend.

Location and food quality
Hog Hollow has lost its rustic charm. Plastic chairs outside cheapened the look and the accommodations now look like portacabins
