Perfect stay

Everything was amazing, location, food, staff. They were incredibly nice. We have spent there our last night in south africa wishing we could have stayed longer at this hotel. Will return hopefully one day and will stay more than a night

cozy relaxing house near the beach.

it was a kind of traditional house with thatched roof, I do love the atmosphere in the house. Henobi is such a kind, welcoming lady, I do enjoyed talking with her. very relaxing atmosphere.

I came here in May and it was winter in Cape Town, and I didn’t know many houses don’t have proper heaters. There was one heating panel in the room but for my Japanese body it was freezing during the night. but this is also an experience, still I love to have an experience.

A perfect destination for you to relax and feel very welcome !!

Love Love Love it !!! This is our 3rd visit ! The staff make you feel like you are part of their family, they are so warm and friendly. During Breakfast "Antie Ria" & her kitchen staff takes special care of you, everything is fresh & delicious. Dinner time is a real treat with magical views... surfers..... people walking their dogs and the calm waves breaking onto the white soft sand of long beach. Absolutely breathtaking !! The entire dinner menu is made with care. Pool area overlooks the beach. The balcony on the first floor is great for a cozy chat & cocktails, followed by a long walk on the beach where you can see an old shipwreck and beautiful mountains cuddling the bay. Special thank you to Jackie & Fanie they make you feel right at home. Brendon and the rest of staff are of great help. The whole team works well together.

Everything was fine. Service, staff, dinner, view from the room

Unfortunately, we were charged double the cost of the room. Who did this - booking.com or a hotel-I don't know. The money was not returned. And that's almost $2,000. I'm tired of writing letters. If the problem is in booking.com , I put a solid 10 to the hotel, if not....

Magical Beach Vacation at The Last Word Guaranteed

What in amazing experience from top to bottom. Jackie and her staff are absolutely the difference makers and there is no special requests unfulfilled. The accommodation are only 6 well appointed and thought out guestrooms with every creature comfort you would expect from a five-star boutique anywhere in the world. Not only do you have one of the most magnificent views, and a wonderful beach, to watch surfers, and the four-legged friends but the main dining/lounge and ocean front patio offer a setting that instantly sets you at ease. We were so pleased with our stay at the last word, and are excited to return in the future. Details of note: Open Bar (if you drink) Wonderful meals included breakfast and dinner Did I mention the view? Large Bathrooms with hot water always Extremely Clean King Bed with fantastic bedding World Friendly Power Adaptors No generator (load shedding) Powerful room AC/ Heat Security at night That cottage feel you have always wanted Wonderful stay! amazing location, great quality, friendly staff, good food too incl great breakfast, very cosy. we travel a lot (over 50% of the year- work and leisure) and are privileged to often be in great places. Last Word high on our list!

Although the property was in a Beautiful location we felt that it was over priced for what we received

stunning beach front location,

Disappointed with the room, as it was very tired in certain areas for example, bathroom shower needed re grouting wash hand basin tap loose, bathtub plug rusty, cupboards and woodwork chipped some decorations stained Bad smell outside our room number 2 ( drains) Although the quality of the food was excellent the menu was the same for both nights also no wine buckets so warm wine and also only water bottles put on the table this was also warm. Although breakfast was good there was no breakfast menu and only realised as we were leaving the table that a cooked hot breakfast option was available. service was a bit hap hazard

A wonderful escape right on the beach

A beautiful guesthouse right on the beach with exceptional staff and beautiful rooms. The breakfast and dinner included in our stay was wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Superb! Wholeheartedly recommend the Last Word.

Breakfast and supper was amazing. The food was delicious and we were served on our own balcony with the most beautiful table setting and view. The location is impeccable. You have a full view of the beach and ocean from almost anywhere in the room, you can see the ocean, hear it & smell it. The staff are amazing, service with a smile. They make you feel welcome from arrival to departure.

Feels like home in a sublime location.

Breakfast was beautifully presented. Dinner in our room was superbly served by the gentleman (Name escapes me) Kim is consistently obliging and pleasant. Location is sublime.

Gluten-free and sourdough bread would be a welcome addition to bread options and a larger variety of herbal tea options. In a 2 night stay the dinner option could be changed in order to create variety.

Amazing

Wow! Everything is amazing. Kim And her staff are incredible. The food is not the best but the service, delivery and willingness to assist is out of this world and makes the mediocre bits totally forgivable! Ot mentioning it as I like knowing before hand. They made me a sandwich when I arrived early and a cheese platter with wine as a snack.

Most breathtaking place in Long Beach

The view was absolutely amazing from my room and the service impeccable. There is a mama who has been with the place for 20 plus yrs and she really took great care of me. Service was out of this world. Much appreciated

Perfect spot to unwind

Breakfast and Dinner was amazing especially their starter. Sunset at the beach also waking up to the waves by the sea. It was a relaxing weekend.
