Outstanding location and incredible ambience. The Falconry show was amazing beyond expectations…the trails surrounding the castle site were serene and diverse landscape and flora.

I enjoyed the castle and its surroundings, it was like living a fable, but especially because “Gabriel Knight 2 : The Beast Within” (Sierra, 1995) was filmed there, transforming the venue into “Schloß Ritter”, headquarters of the Shattenjägers.

Only one thing: one of the girls serving dinner was superrude with an annoying smirk on her face.

Our room (junior suite) was great, beds were fine, plenty of room, very modern bathroom. We had a fan since it was very hot ( 36 C plus) , room just never cooled off. No fridge to keep drinks cool, but you could get drinks at the restaurant till 10pm, take them back to the room or a great outdoor terrace. There was no TV either. They train birds of prey right on the grounds, we went to a show and enjoyed it. The tour of the castle was also great. Food at the restaurant was excellent. It's a 3or4 course meal, nothing else, but well worth it if you like what's on the menu. Breakfast is buffet style, included, lots of choices and a great way to start your day

staff is rude. lack of staff. no communication. We had breakfast for dinner because the chef didn’t want to serve us the menu. no flexible solutions, staff likes to go into discussions
