Séjour dans un lieu beau et calme

Pour moi tout était parfait. Bien placé, bon accueil, propre, très beau. Je m'inquiétais de certains commentaires mais mon expérience était excellente.

Un hotel que hace muchos años pudo ser bueno

El monasterio es muy bonito

La habitación es muy vieja , daba a un calle muy ruidosa. No se ha reformado desde décadas . La cortina del baño era un plastico transparente pequeño y roto. Tiene moqueta que huele mal. Para contrarestar añaden ambientador muy fuerte que huele peor. Nada recomendable. El día que llegamos no habia nadie para ayudarnos a subir las maletas al segundo piso por las escaleras. Pedimos agua pero tampoco habia ya servicio de habitaciones .

Nice hotel. Lacked hot water.

Nice historical hotel.

No hot water. Reception stated it was a fault with the timer. Even when the warm water did come on the following day there was poor flow. Unacceptable for such a hotel

Very good

The best location in Popayan. The hotel has a uniqe and incredible athmosphere. We loved it. The staff atvthe reception was very helpful and nice!

The staff of the restaurant was really slowly. We couldn't drink anything 2 times: 1st we had to cancel our order because we didn't get it after 30 minutes, 2nd we couldn't order after 20 minutes.

Short two night stay - excellent location to explore Popayan and surrounding areas. Friendly staff.

There was a large and loud 15th birthday party on our second night that closed the restaurant. We had been warned and the hotel offered (and we accepted) to be moved to a room as far from the party as possible on our second night. Whilst we still heard the music it helped a lot! The breakfast after the party was all as it should be with all signs of the huge party cleared away by 7am.

the silent and calm atmosphere, the room facilities are very good, the staffs are very helpful. I was left at early morning before the breakfast time, the hotel was prepared good breakfast for me.

The waiting time for hot water was near 3-5 minutes.

Great place to stay in Popayan

Great location, very spacious rooms and comfortable bed. Beautiful old monastery and nice terrace for breakfast which was good as well. Friendly staff.

No hot water at 6am just later . The restaurant except breakfast was rather poor and must be improved. The sauce of the ceviche wasn't handmade nor the sauce béarnaise. The meat wasn't high quality.

Impressive historic building, great location, good breakfast, but very tired accommodations

The hotel has a spectacular setting in a former monastery at the historic heart of Popayan; the cloisters and view from the street are picturesque and impressive. Staff were pleasant, with some English spoken. The included breakfast was quite good, a mix of a buffet and cooked egg dishes. My room on the upper floor had a private patio. Some of the center's better restaurants were close by, and all the main sights are an easy walk. The airport is barely a five-minute ride away.

The actual accommodations are extremely tired; it looks like not much has been invested since the hotel opened, maybe 50 or 60 years ago. The five-star rating may reflect a lot of event facilities, but my room was well below that. Front desk staff initially miscopied the wifi code, requiring a trip back to sort it out. I also found a locked gate when I tried to go out in the early evening, and had to chase down staff who were on break. My minibar had liquor bottles that had been tampered with (probably refilled with water).

My white night without sleeping due to massive 15s party held in the hotel without prior notice.

I was happy the first day but then… PARTY! A super noisy 15s Party was organized in the hotel without any prior advice and the full hotel went on fire! Amazing how such a big hotel can neglect all its costumers organizing these kind of events, letting almost everybody without sleeping… I would have appreciated to be signaled at least during checking-in. Eventually, I could have looked for another hotel for that night.

Avoidable noise, letting down all clients’ sleep. Plus the lie, not mentioning while checking-in the happening to be held next day!

An amazing old building, great terrace and garden. The room was big and very quiet.

Wifi a bit weak in the bedroom due to the old walls, but plenty nice spaces to sit elsewhere to get wifi.

A stay that takes you back in history

The building of the hotel itself is a piece of art, its history goes back to the 16th century. It is located at the heart of centro, a district beautifully preserved in its authentic colonial image. This establishment deserves each of the 5 stars.

The breakfast could be improved by adding more variety such as soup.

Location, staff, room, dinner

Breakfast, All staff were friendly and ready to try to solve all of our request, bad the breakfast system doesn't work well and you need a lot of time to get your food. All of your breakfast comes one by one. It took almost 35 minutes to get our eggs request. It's not the staff by themselves. The organized system doesn't work well
