La atención y la ubicación.

El baño olía a tuberias viejas, la ducha le faltaba aseo al igual que las toallas estaban manchadas y las sábanas de la cama también. En relación a calidad y precio otros hoteles tienen una mejor oferta que está. el techo estaba agrietado, el clima de Popayán ha cambiado no había ni un ventilador. Lastima por qué la atención del personal es muy buena pero le falta muchísimo a lo que ofrecen calidad respecto al precio lo siento mucho pero necesitamos reseñas sinceras.

Pas de petit déjeuner

Que le guide Lonely planet vérifie ses infos. En effet la description ne correspondait pas à cet hôtel mais bien à un hôtel situé à une autre adresse et qui s'apelle los Balcones. Nous nous y sommes rendus pour pouvoir passer une nuit dans un endroit correct mais une dame est venue nous ouvrir et nous a appris que cet hôtel était définitivement fermé....

Check you room before paying to determine if you have hot water

The location was great and the building has potential but plumbing needs to be improved in room 205.

The first night was spent in a room with no hot water. The second night was spent at another hotel nearby also with no hot water. The third night I finally had a room with hot water. The elevation at Popayan is too high for cold showers especially at this price point. Changing rooms every day at noon made it impossible to take any of the walking tours in town.

Great value

Great value here. We stayed one night passing through. Large rooms, hot shower, walkable area. 25 min walk from bus terminal or less than 10,000 cop for a taxi.

Buena experiencia. Excelent Costo - Beneficio.

Ubicación excelente. Cerca a todo. No esperaba desayuno. Es un Hostal. Además hay muy cerca cientos de sitios para poder desayunar, almorzar o comer.

La bulla de los demás personajes que se hospedaban en el Hostal. Extremada bulla a altas horas de la noche. Pero es una variable que no depende del Hotel. Lamentablemente es el nivel de cultura de la gente.

Great location, could be more sociable

Great location- 2 blocks from the main square and 1 minute walk from a large supermarket. Felt very safe to walk around. Hostel has leaflets and posters about activities. First night of arrival- receptionist very good and attentive and was emptying bins at 10:30pm! I like this as it means the bins aren't full after a full day of use and ready for the morning. Shared form of 6 has its own huge bathroom. Lockers and storage shelves in rooms. Towels and soap included. Good kitchen space for cooking; it was on the whole very clean and well equipped. Lots of space to eat which therefore allowed you to interact with other guests when you saw them.

The price hike because of the holidays but you got nothing more for your money in comparison to lie season. No natural social atmosphere - the lounge area is behind the reception desk and it's not advertised therefore you assume it's a back office or something. The lack of breakfast means guests just get up and go rather than naturally gathering to eat together. Not all staff were as attentive with cleaning- sometimes kitchen bin lids were filthy, bedroom bins are small so could do with regular emptying. Bathroom sink in 6 person dorm was blocked and drained so slowly- never sorted whilst I was there and informed 2 different staff members. Next steps- a Whatsapp group so guests can organise activities together. Option for breakfast - it appears they once did this in the past.

would not at all recommend

I sent a message asking to cancel because I was going to arrive in the middle of the night, didn’t hear back and my reservation was still active in the booking app so I decided to keep the reservation even though it meant waiting 3am-6 in the bus terminal. When I got there I spoke with someone on the phone who told me the room was open and ready for me but It was locked. when someone showed up around 8am they told me they had given the room to someone else but they had a hotel close for $29US a night that had a balcony and was available. The hotel did not have a balcony or a place for me to smoke the wifi didn’t work there was a big cockroach in the shower the window looked into a staff cleaning room so had to have the curtain closed and the staff made a lot of noise laughing and taking loudly until 1:30 in the morning. There was one man and one girl who were very friendly but aside from that the staff was bad as well. I was waiting outside for food delivery and when the guy arrived I was talking to him and the woman who checked me in yelled out to him interrupting me that it was their food. The delivery person had food for both them and myself and it would have been nice if she didn’t yell out and interrupt. I could hear them hanging out until 1:30 in the morning making no effort at all to keep their voices down. it was a terrible experience and the price was insane for the property compared to other hotels in popayan

It’s a cheap option if you are passing through to get to Pasto.

They let us check into our hostel early as we arrived mid morning. Also, the staff was very friendly. It’s close to the main square where you will find all the colonial architecture. The building itself has Colonial style balconies. There was hot water in the showe.

The bathroom that we stayed in had mold in it and the light didn’t work. The kitchen area was quite dirty when we went to cook in the evening, which is mostly just lack of responsibility amongst guests, not the hostel, but nonetheless doesn’t make it appeasing to want to cook when people don’t clean up. Wifi wasn’t working so we couldn’t watch Netflix.

The room was comftorable and so was the bathroom. There were plugs by every bed and good lockers within the room. The kitchen was very big, clean and comfortable to cook in

Spacious room with very comfortable bed and pillows, table, big bathroom, huge wardrobe and even a table (not very common in hotels and hostels in Colombia!). The most central location you can possibly find in Popayan, a 5-min walk from the central square. What we liked more was the friendliness of the staff! Although we arrived quite late (after 11pm) the girl at the reception patiently waited for us before finishing her shift and not only: she also helped us order food through a delivery application, as there was nothing open nearby at the time. She also kept communicating with us through whatsapp after she had left work to inform us regarding our delivery! The young lad who was at the reception in the morning also very friendly and talkative. Very good vibes in general, although we stayed unfortunately just for one night!

There was a slight smell of humidity in the blankets, although they were rather clean. I suspect they didn't dry up properly. There were construction works right outside of the hotel starting very early in the morning, I hope it will not last long and spoil the image of this otherwise very sweet and quiet hostel.

Great location in the center, very clean, beds were amazingly comfortable, open layout in the common area with windows to the street, staff was friendly, wifi stable but no more than 10m

Really good for the price

The location is perfect if you want to walk around downtown. The staff super friendly and helpful. The facilities are really good for the price.

The street just outside the room was too noisy around 8:00 to 18:00, if you're staying just for the night it's pretty quiet, though sometimes some loud motorbikes pass by at night.

Les Balcons exceeds expectations expectations due to fantastic staff and great faculties. Highly recommended.

Big spacious room. clean comunal kitchen with everything one needs. Very friendly and helpful staff. Close to supermarkets. Hot shower with great pressure. Excellent price.

It did get cold at night in the room.

It is close to everything in the historic centre. Beds were very comfortable and free towels were available to guests. Kitchen was superb.
