Perfect!

The hotel is situated in the city centre. There are lots of restaurants around and a tourism office across the town square. The town is picturesque with white colonial houses all around and well worth stopping by. The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast was delicious and the staff very professional. The bed was made everyday and the bathroom is very clean with hot showers. We had a perfect stay!

Secure parking available, great location in the heart of the old town, lots to see, staff were very friendly and more than helpful. Hotel is a secure location with very good breakfasts!

Showers although hot could do with a little TLC. Otherwise its perfect.

Very good

. there were some red ants crawling on the floor in my room when I returned after a walk, I let the staff know straight away and within 5 minutes my room was changed. I also asked for a fan, and was provided with one. the food in the restaurante was excellent and they accommodated for my egg allergy.

can hear sounds from all over the hotel, probably because the building is hundreds of years old. this was not a big deal because the white noise from the fan cut a lot of this out.

The best place to stay in the center of Popayan

Probably the best option to stay in Popayan, both for lodging and for eating (the hotel has one of the best restaurants in the city). An old-fashioned building just around the corner of the central square, a number of internal patios where you can take a rest if it is not raining outside, a spacious (although somewhat empty) room with the balcony, where you can observe the local life. Very friendly and welcoming staff at the reception.

There is no lobby, the service in the restaurant is a little bit slow and is thought more for locals. But otherwise nothing negative to point out.

I've enjoyed my stay at Camino Real. Comfy beds, cleanliness was examplary, building was very pretty and staff lovely.

The shower didn't provide hot water, but I think this was an issue only in this specific room. I've been offered another room, but chose not to move.

Bad

Major construction, dont stay if you have a vehicle, entrance is blocked, I would not of stayed there, THEY should tell guests before they book, not good business practices.

The ambiance was spectacular! The building is almost 500 years old and in the same family from the beginning.

The restaurant closed early. But considering the pandemic and very few guests I can understand
