Great location, friendly staff, heritage building
Carpet in the hall way needs rejuvenation. It's seen a cleaner life long time ago.
A new shower head in the bath room could make the stay much better.
It seems that small hands towel is not provided as standard to the room.

Pool. Room, when I was eventually given the one I booked.
Was given a room I didn't book in the name of an 'upgrade'.
It was nothing of the sort. The room was in the oldest part of the hotel being renovated.
It had bamboo scaffolding outside. The sound of the traffic was overpowering.
The TV had interference.
The lift didn't work and the decoration in the corridors and common areas can only be described as shocking.
After a while sitting in my noisy room, I began to wonder why I'd got this room in the first place.
I went down to reception and asked to see the room id booked, the deluxe twin. They said they didn't have it, so I asked for another room as mine was unacceptable.
After looking round, they tried to give me a suite for more money. So I asked again for the room I booked.
Eventually, I was shown the room id paid for and it turned out to be nice.
I've no idea why they tried to give me a different room under renovation.
