Great spa

Food expensive and mediocre, service extrely variable depending on restaurants. Breakfast very poor, no healthy options like yogurt or fresh fruit.

It’s very close to the airport so perfect for a quick stay. Breakfast is good, views too.

It’s a bit soulless and a little dated.

The location was perfect to get to Papeete airport for an early flight. The outside areas were well maintained with plenty of comfortable seating.

The room felt a little “dated” and gloomy, compared to the outside areas.

We rented an overwater bungalow, and it was absolutely amazing. It offered plenty of space for our family of four, and the extra rollaway bed fit comfortably without making the room feel crowded. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the bungalow was exceptionally comfortable. There are tropical fish, turtles, baby turtles right there on property, and it was great to watch those. The grounds are very well taken care of, and location is in ideal close proximity to the airport.

While the bungalow itself was fantastic, the resort's food and beverage experience was a disappointment. Service was consistently slow, and orders at both the restaurants and bars were frequently delayed, mixed up, or forgotten altogether. The biggest drawback was the cost and value of the dining options. The breakfast buffet was approximately $55 USD per person before tax, which felt excessive even by our San Francisco standards. On Saturday evening, the dinner buffet was $99 per person (including a cultural show), while the à la carte menu was limited to just a few options. We often felt trapped into expensive choices that unfortunately did not match the quality or value we expected. My advice for families is to have a backup plan for breakfast and dinner, especially if you have a rental car. Even factoring in transportation costs, you'll likely spend less and enjoy much better food at local restaurants. We were also surprised by the lack of pool hygiene enforcement. During our stay, we observed an infant swimming in the main pool without a swim diaper, which raised concerns about cleanliness and health standards. Overall, the accommodations were outstanding, but the dining experience, service consistency, and lack of pool policy enforcement kept the resort from being a truly exceptional stay.
